I decided to recreationally replay the easy Caucasus CAS mission (Su-25T - Caucasus - CAS Easy.miz) after a while, and when I tried to attack with bombs I was surprised how I got also hit by the bomb. There was no visible or noticeable effect on the aircraft itself, but there is a BDA notification, the plane shakes, and even some pieces seem to be gone from the graphics. This all happens when I'm 200m or more AGL.

I'm quite sure this wasn't the case some time ago. I often went much lower with bombs previously, with no reported damage. Now the effect is quite strong, and also some debris fall off (I hope it's visible in the picture):

The track is attached and the log in the game is here:

Is DCS more sensitive to report damage? Or is the bomb stronger? I'm not sure BetAB is the best one for this mission and I have no idea if it was the one used in previous versions of the mission either. But it feels quite excessive.

In the Weapons section of Gameplay Bugs there have been a number of complaints about bomb damage radius (of a variety of bombs) being too large. Haven’t checked it out myself.

Took a look at the TRK file and also took control of it to play around a bit. In the image you posted, it turns out that the debris you see are ground textures. In experimenting with you track, I had to be above something like 850 m for them not to appear and not feel the blast effect.

BTW, it's the same texture whether you were hitting ground or, in this case, the bridge.

Oh, I hadn't replayed the TRK yet, it was late in the night. It was just strange to me, I replay this mission occasionally, and never was so shaken by a bomb, and I'm quite sure I was often even lower. Good to hear the stuff is not from me - I've looked around in F2 and the plane looked whole (no panel missing as is typical for some damage in Su-25T) and acted more or less as before.

True, I could have checked the general weapons forum section... thanks for your observation and feedback!

It was reported already...

but was supposed to be fixed:

BetAB-500 and BetAB-500ShP. Fixed excessive splash damage being dealt when these bombs exploded on runways or concrete objects/surfaces.
