huchanronaa Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago (edited) The C-130J may crash on systems using AMD graphics cards due to insufficient testing and validation! It works perfectly on another system using an NVIDIA 3070 graphics card, but crashes on a system using an AMD 6700XT graphics card! How can such a module be released without adequate testing and validation?! It's speculated that the company that created this module almost exclusively tested it on NVIDIA graphics cards, which explains this issue. Some users on Steam have reported crashing after purchasing it, which is likely due to the same reason. Edited 8 hours ago by huchanronaa
VitalConflict Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago While this certainly comes across as inflammatory as a post, I am interested in any details you can provide as someone with an RX 6650XT.
huchanronaa Posted 7 hours ago Author Posted 7 hours ago Crashes can occur under certain circumstances. Using an Intel CPU + Nvidia is the most stable combination. I can only say that this issue won't only happen to me; there are already reports of it in the Steam reviews. We can only wait for the bug to be fixed.

Ultimately, that can be said of every single crash in the history of every single video game. I've been flying with two players with Nvidia cards who both suffered a DCS crash while flying the Herc or flying on the same server as a Herc earlier tonight. It sounds like you might be extrapolating from too small a sample. 40 minutes ago, huchanronaa said: We can only wait for the bug to be fixed. In case you are actually interested in getting it fixed, please include the dcs.log and the crash dump in your report. Also be aware that the Raytracing option from the Options -> Special -> C-130J menu seems to currently cause issues; a hotfix is in the works, and in the mean time please double-check that this is switched off (which it should be by default). 2
Hiob Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago VERY unlikely to say the least. Much more likely that people don't read release notes and failed to disable raytracing...... 1 "Muß ich denn jedes Mal, wenn ich sauge oder saugblase den Schlauchstecker in die Schlauchnut schieben?"
