H60MTI Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Howdy. Looking to get a new map, especially with the C-130 playable. I'm torn between this map, Kola, and Iraq. I was stationed in Germany in the early 2000's so I'm familiar with the country and see my old base on here. I was also deployed to Iraq during the Surge so that would be cool as well. I already have Afghan and Syria map so I have plenty of desserty stuff. I'm going to post this in Kola as well to see what they say. Just curious what people thought. Darcaem Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago (edited) Kola map does get some amount of "hate"... in my opinion is fine enough, I do enjoy it a lot (I was living in Luleå for some time), and it is quite big, so you will probably have lot to do with the Hercules. But, between Kola and CW I would pick CW specially it that region brings back memories to you. It is way more detailed. Kola is fine for long missions. While it has some very beautiful areas, it is very inconsistent, much space between airbases is empty generic, and what I dislike the most, areas that end up abruptly. EDIT: I wouldn't consider Iraq as of right now, since all the south part is missing. Also, given that you already have the Afghan map. Again. very beautiful map, but, between those three... H60MTI Posted 8 hours ago Author Posted 8 hours ago That's 3 for Germany now Lol I'll give it a day and see what the consensus is. Thanks!! 1 Former SSG US Army UH-60A/L/M Crewchief "2 To Fly!"
Trigger Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago CWGemany! - Born there and lived there most of my time (in the US "sector", Rhine area). Enjoyed the open house days at Wiesbaden- Erbenheim. Now living in East Germany the old stories of the people here are quite interesting and "informative", mentioning those old days and comparing with the western atmosphere in the 70th and early 80th ... . H60MTI Posted 7 hours ago Author Posted 7 hours ago Kola does seem like a huge map but CW Germany is only a hair smaller than the Syria map which Ugra did a great job with. I'm also not looking to fly for an hour in one direction either Lol I was in the Giebelstadt area when I was there. Also spent a lot of time in Würzburg and Kitzingen. I did see Geib was part of phase 1 so I am curious as to how that looks on the map since I don't think it changed much from the '80's to the early 2000's. 1 Former SSG US Army UH-60A/L/M Crewchief "2 To Fly!"

I was born in Germany in that region you were stationed. Grew up in a small village with Würzburg, Kitzingen and Giebelstadt in the west, Schweinfurt in the north and Bamberg in the east. MAXsenna Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Even as a Norwegian, I'd probably choose CWG as if now. You will probably get Kola at some point later anyway, and it usually participate in sales.Cheers! Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
