A couple of problems and a question

First and the worst problem is that occasionally when I'm flying in F2 view with TrackIR, the camera starts spinning around the aircraft and it can't be stopped. This started happening after I got TrackIR. Another person on this forum had the same problem but nobody answered his question. This is a really annoying issue.

 

Second problem is conserning the Simmod A-10. My Hog seems to have LAU-9M installed. A launch rail built into the Sidewinder. See for yourself in the screenshot. I'm thinking that it might be interfering with some other mods I have installed like; 3GO Su-27 and Walmis F-15. I have the compatibility pack installed and all of the mods have been installed in the correct order like said in the instructions. Seems like a meinit.xml problem. I just don't know which values need to be changed.

 

 

 

 

And the question. Does Windows 7 affect Lock On like it does for Black Shark? I mean does it help with the framerates?

When this occurs, if you look at the TrackIR software, camera view do you see more than 3 green objects, any red?

Hi Vince!

I took a look and saw regularly two very small reflections from my eyeglasses. I did a bit of testing and they don't have any effect in F1 view (cockpit) nor in F2 (external). I don't have this problem in DCS: Black Shark nor in IL-2 1946. It only happens in F2 view.

I tried to isolate the problem but couldn't find the cause. It seems to start spontaneously. Also the TrackIR seems to get quite lost when I turn my head down beyond the field of view, for example, when I look for a key on my keyboard. The view goes haywire but it is easily fixed with a quick wave of hand in front of the reflectors. I think this one isn't a bug or anything and is not a problem for me. I also couldn't connect it to the original problem. (Even while the view is going haywire in cockpit view, the F2 view is perfect.)

 

The problem didn't exist before I got TrackIR but I don't think it's neccessarily in the TrackIR itself as it works perfectly in other games/sims.

 

I'm using Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1.12b and TrackIR 4 with v. 4.1 Build 36 software.

In response to your second problem:

I think it's something wrong with the meinit.xml file. I have had trouble with many of the compatibility packs and was forced to make my own. I attached it if it helps you. (It's not a modman pack. Just back up and replace the meinit.xml file in your Lockon\ME folder with this one.)

 

This Meinit is only to be used if you are using all of the following: Walmis F-15, Walmis Weapons, Simmod A-10, 3GO Su-27 v1.5.

Griffen I got the same thing and couldnt figure out for the life of me how to stop it for some time. Press the 1 key on the keypad of your keyboard. This stops the spinning. Then use your mouse to manuever the angle of viewing you would like.

Aeroscout, your meinit.xml worked great! Other aircraft had all the things hanging where they are supposed to also. No more Lauwinders. Thank you!

 

Money, your advice did the trick! Pressing a key on the numpad stopped the spinning. Thanks!
