dooom Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 As the DCS modules continue to be released a la' Black Shark, A-10, etc etc... 1. Will these products be mutually exclusive or integrated much like the old Silent Hunter II / Destroyer Command from UbiSoft. 2. Are we seeing Eagle Dynamics embark upon a future fully integrated battleground, combining many Nato/Eastern Euro Air assets under one Campaign. 3. Has there ever been any interest/discussion by ED or the DCS team to look at player controlled simulations of the ground assets we so oft engage in DCS? Eg. DCS: T-72 ASUS Tuf Gaming Pro x570 / AMD Ryzen 7 5800X @ 3.8 / XFX Radeon 6900 XT / 64 GB DDR4 3200 "This was not in the Manual I did not read", cried the Noob" - BMBM, WWIIOL

Integrated, word is, that they plan for at least MP compatibility. Hence 'modules'. ;) 2. There is a list with what is on the horizon. Nobody can say for sure, as only the upcoming module is certain. 3. AFAIK ED's standpoint is that while there are no plans at this time, they do not rule it out. If this should ever be realised, it will definately not be in the next few years. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
joey45 Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 1- Fully intergrated. 2- Mainly USA and Russia - If they get get enough info on other aircrafts then they'll do them. But I'm not sure if they have to be still in service or not... 3- What sobek said. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. "Me, the 13th Duke of Wybourne, here on the ED forums at 3 'o' clock in the morning, with my reputation. Are they mad.." https://ko-fi.com/joey45

The integration will be in MP as sobek mentioned.

There might be an engine upgrade for BS as well, but this is far from certain. I do however believe, that, as you stated, they will not run from the same executable. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. 26-J39 Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 Any upgrades for the Black Shark will be great.. i just hope it's not forgotten when the almighty hog spreads it's wings.. :D ( hog with wings?)

Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
dooom Posted November 3, 2009 Author Posted November 3, 2009 it will certainly make for interesting ground maps... how would this work??? A-10s attack ka-50 bases and russian ground forces whilst Ka-50 try to hit them on AF / attack Nato forces? I can't really see the Ka-50 and a-10 engaging in direct combat with each other.. It will have to have some very interesting victory conditions.
