Dear friends, my computer is too slow, use the Windows SP SP3 with Black Shark with patches in the English version, bought via internet. I would like to format the pc, preserving the name of the PC and all its parts. Ask:

1 - What is the procedure to be performed? need to disable the Black Shark, format the computer and reinstall all programs, Install Black Shark again and reactivate it? With this procedure will lose some activation or deactivation? and when finished all my activations and deactivations, how can I reinstall the Black Shark?

Deactivate -> format -> reinstall windows and DCS blackshark -> activate.

It will consume one deactivation.

Without deactivating first, simply by activating.

Distiler, did not understand. How?

I just uninstall the Black Shark, I format the computer after I install again the Black Shark and active it again? And as we use all activations to do?

Deactivating gives you an additional activation you didn't have before.

However you only get 9 deactivations. So for people who like to format their computer once a month DCS will only last 9 months

People who like to format their computer once a month probably want to figure out why their regular maintenance of their systems doesn't suffice. ;)

As long as you don't completely manhandle your system you should not suffer performance degradation for several years.

If you used all your deactivations, you just don't deactivate. You just format, install and activate. The same but without deactivation process.

Mmm here i agree :music_whistling: but as a Pc Tech and a Teamleader employed at a large it company we do advice our customers to reinstall windows every 6 month as a generel rule. Starforce are not an easy animal at times even with my skills I have 6 activations left without any hardware change :megalol:. With almost 10 years in this business (customer service) it does;nt surprice me that customers have problems with the procedure :P

... Why?! with 98 and 95 and even 2000 this made some sense, but with XP and beyond this type of process doesn't actually do anything other than consume time...

I can give you 1000 reasons from rl on why and the key issue here is education. I have agents sitting at the phone, who every day encounter customers that simply say "I don not know how a computer/windows work and dont care it just have to work" That`s just one out 1000 issues when dealing with customer service.

People do install/add alot into the pc`s today, both harware and software, bad surf habbit and so on that`s also why the recovery disks are shiped with enduser computers today (one of them I have to add) - to find a fast and easy solution.

When I started out by useing 3.11, 95 ,98 (good ol day`s lol) I never installed my OS every 6 month as I did not need to, same goes for my vista I use today, but Im not a avarage user and belive that it apply to you as well (sure I can get into problems who cant) but they get solved.

We and others in the customer service cant expect that the ordinary endusers today spend 1000 or more hours to educate them self - the time is simply not there for most people because of life it self and what it brings.

Main reason I did reply to this post is that issues will arise when useing a protection like starforce for reasons above and many more.

I do belive that ED have a solution on the table if a customer should ran out of de/activations, but I can imagen that alot are afraid that they some day are not able to use the product again if all should be lost.

Ill rest here :D
