fitness88
any fix for the sound problem in vista ? since vista disable hardware acceleration The resove for this issue is to free download Alchemy X-fi from creative.
AustinN360
My understanding is that Alchemy from creative is no good for Realtek. Instead you will need to use their version from http://www.realtek.com/
Kuky
you have 2 options, get creative X-Fi sound card and install sound cards drivers then Alchemy driver or get one of the Asus Xonar sound cards, they should support Vista by default... for Realtek I don't know there's a fix or not No longer active in DCS... UWBuRn
Alchemy universal works without restriction of soundcard, if a creative hardware is not found it emulates directsound via software. ;) And setting shouldn't be that relevant... that program basically copy one or two dll in lock on directory to intercept directsound calls. This solves the sound problems under Vista/7, but with FC2 in sight sounds will be fixed too. :)
