Tango Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 Hi, I'm looking for some good yaw pedals. Any recommendations for realistic pedals? Best regards, Tango.
Eddie Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 Saitek pro flight pedals are very good, robust and accurate. If you've got a decent amount to spend the Simped pedals are very highly rated indeed, hope to get them myself one day. http://shop.strato.de/epages/Store6.sf/?ObjectPath=/Shops/219707

Vekkinho Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 Saitek, as always, is best bang for buck (IMO)... Pro Flight rudders are great in shape, quality and they're wide enough to allow center joystick mount. I'll post some pics of my gear when I get near it... I've been using Saitek PFR ever since they appeared on market (3,5 years now) no problems so far, no broken parts, no failures, they just need some dusting... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Outlaw24 Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 I've been using Ch Pro Pedals for years they are still working great with my Saitek X52 pro, no problems at all. Tango Posted November 29, 2009 Author Posted November 29, 2009 I have a Saitek Pro Flight Pedals and I have very happy with them! Do you find there is sufficient movement? @Eddie: Those F-16 pedals look rather good...... :helpsmilie: Best regards, Tango.
EtherealN Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 I also use the Pro Flight pedals and have nothing to complain about. They even have toebrakes for simulations of aircraft thus equipped. The tension spring has sufficient adjustment, it's solid, and they have more travel than 5 of the 6 aircrafts I've flown IRL. So pedal travel should be quite sufficient. :) They also have pads you can place at the bottom to make them stick to a carpet in order to eliminate problems like the whole pedal set running away from you mid-action. I actually like them a lot better than the CH pedals we used on the simulator at flight school. Tango Posted November 30, 2009 Author Posted November 30, 2009 (edited) If you've got a decent amount to spend the Simped pedals are very highly rated indeed, hope to get them myself one day.I e-mailed them last night regarding the position sensing on the F-16 style pedals - it uses a hall effect device for the rudder function, and pressure sensors for the brakes. That makes it worth the price tag by a mile. Sure, take a look: Thanks for the link! If shipping costs are reasonable for the F-16 style pedals, I think I'll go with those. Best regards, Tango. That makes it worth the price tag by a mile. Indeed, they have been on my 'wish list' for ages now. One day when other things stop popping up I'll be able to get them. While I've never used them personally, I've heard nothing but praise from those who have.
Shaman Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 (edited) Previously I wanted to purchase Saitek's rudder pedals but after I read many complains how easily internal mechanism worns out and breaks - I do not want them any more. There are also full metal pedals made by this company now available: http://www.vkb-flightsimcontrols.com/ Problem is, they are not replying to my email - when I asked them for price quotation, shipping to EU costs and warranty & support. Additionally I would like to know what are the customs costs to get this from Russia to EU. They have just released MK18-3 - latest version. You can even plug it to your Cougar, has hallsensors, electronic centering. Full metal. By the look of it, you can get most of the mechanical spares easily. If they want to sell these to me, they better contact me soon :) While I have the will.
