this mod comes close to the end. here is a preview using some parts of tomcatz f-16. i think i have a problem with the pylons because they are too high for the plane..

Looks much better now, but if You went this far, why stop? Please take care of other elements that need improvement, as mentioned earlie pylons, and tail. Wings look pretty neat.

Good job.

Go for f-16 D block 52 ;)

Hi again,

I installed my F-16CJ into the DCS folder and it works. So johnX, if you be able to hold on by pylon coordinates I gave you your F-16 will work in DCS too and your one will look much better :joystick:

ok tom, ill try to keep the coordinates. i reworked the tail, and the model i plan to make is netherland's f-16 mlu. a double-seat version i planned for the future but is still a lot of work to be done to make the mlu look excellent. and the model is 17.000 polys

Hey-

I found a very good skin made by "Mitch" - I love it and used it for my F-16 fighter. What I want to say is simply: Trye to wrap your model with LockOn-textures, please `corse there many are great textures made by the community for the F-16 Falcon.

hi tom, are you interested in wrapping the model for me since i dont have the time to do it, and this way you can choose the texture model you want... i kept the principal pylons coordinates you gave me excepting the ones from the end of the wings which are lower now...here you have the last modifications..and i need some real photos of the pylons from close range to modify them..

yes- You should do it. Your model looks very fine. The front gear looks a little bit to short - just like compressed but I`m not very sure. However- that should be a good step into the future. :thumbup:

i need the original lock on f-16 templates. can anyone help please? at least with some textures as i dont have lockon installed right now...

Dear John,

 

yout model looks very good. But basecally I`m not able to help nowadays. Maintainly my problem is that I renew my complete hard- and software. Thistime I use a PC with about 1.8GHz and 1.5GB-Ram and a 256Mb graphic card.

But now I have to buy new hardware and software just like new windows and so on. Think it will cost a lot of time to make my system stabil and useable to me.

However: Your model looks very fine so finish it please (I mean wraping and animations) .

PS: Use ED-textures so I`m pretty sure that a lot of members will use your fighter in future :smilewink:

anyone knows why isn't the ArgBased Position appear under the motion tab in this case and why when another object is selected it appears?

ok, finished the animation for the canopy but at the last key of the animation the canopy must dissapear..how can i do that? to delete it doesn't work, neither to hide it

To make an object invisible you ahve to animate it in the "visibillity" channel. This is done in the track view in 3dsmax. There was a video showing how to do it a while back, I will see if I can find it

It describes how to add damage model, but you use this visibillity method for everything you want to be invisible at a certain point (forexample the landing gear when they are retracted)
