So, seen that in the other thread people didn't go in to what went wrong there, I guess it would be good to analyze this video here.

 

What do you people think went wrong?

 

My guess is that it is an unexperienced pilot in his/her first few carrier landings with the Su-33.

It looks like the pilot is first too high and to correct he/she puts the trottle back too far, resulting in a too steep glide slope. After throttling up, the pilot waits for the engines to spool up again and has no choise but to pull up the nose while waiting for power.

 

All in all it looks like a major mistake, I think the pilot should have recognized the first mistake and abort the landing in an earlier stage.
