FC 2.0 install problems?

Hi everybody. There're some problems while I tried to install FC2.0

which made most of the missions and some essential shortcuts cannot be installed which made me cannot enter the game

 

I believe it's a software problem ,my operating system is Windows 7 Chinese Ultimate X86:helpsmilie::helpsmilie::helpsmilie::helpsmilie::helpsmilie::helpsmilie:

Did you install it as administrator and chose run as admin from the context menu?

 

Win7 is pretty jumpy when you try to install things to the root-folders and programs-folders.

And I thought the Admin and UAC thingy was solved from Vista to 7 :huh: If thats the problem then I'll have to consider it when I upgrade to 7.

I'm quite sure that a gave the installment program an administrator permission and I both tried to install it on C: and on other harddisk but none of these problems go away. Now I'm trying to install a Russian language pack to see if there's a problem there. But I must say that in China there're lots of flaming cliffs pilots and if this bug occurs on all the Chinese language operating system it will be a great tragedy

Can you translate text of errors into English?

 

EDIT: I am almost sure, you get problems because of Russian characters in mission file names. Try switching system locale (Code page for non Unicode Apps) into Russian. Then install and switch back to your old locale.

You can try to change the program language in windows from chn to eng (sry i have my system on german and I can't give you the exact location but it is somthing with language options / advanced. change to english (us or uk) and then you must restart. Or if it doesn't work change to russian..

Please try to add Cyryllic (Russian) locale and try to install again.

well...it's OK for me to change it, but I'm worrying about the other Chinese pilots, some of which even don't know any English. I think ED should start work on it and invite more asian pilots during testing

Perhaps that's why there is an international version coming out soon.

Install russian version in a chinese SO has its risks, i'm waiting English version for evade problems (FC2 have spanish version?).

International version = English version , that's all (no other language except english)

 

Pues eso, que con el ingles no deberías tener problemas a estas alturas :)

I've installed RU edition on ENG windz with Croatian locale, and no problem at all.

Looks like all localization issues are similar to those in latest DCS.
