BOW4 Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 got FC 2 installed then hit quick fly to make sure all was working... I have a pitch issue or possibly a trim issue....I m using a FSSB modded cougar and a X-52 throttle. The plane just wants to nose down with full difflection even though Im not touching the stick. I tried unplugging all joysticks and use keyboard and still wants to nose down. I cleared al the axis in the axis panel and still noses down hard....I dont know what to do here???:helpsmilie: Also have another friend who has the same issue with FC2
EvilBivol-1 Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 Do you possibly have any other controllers that could be inputting a command? A steering wheel, a game pad? - EB [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Nothing is easy. Everything takes much longer. The Parable of Jane's A-10 Forum Rules
BOW4 Posted March 27, 2010 Author Posted March 27, 2010 I have rudder pedals too siatek but I cleared all the pitch and roll axis from all controllers. those are my only controllers.

Wolf Rider Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 (edited) also, double check your joystick assignments and if necessary, wipe them and re-assign them. connos Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 I have the same issue. X52 pro here. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] ASUS M4A79 Deluxe, AMD Phenom II X4 940@3.5GHz, ATI 6870 1GB, Windows 7 64bit, Kingstone HyperX 4GB, 2x Western Digital Raptor 74GB, Asus Xonar DX Sound Card, Saitek X52 PRO, TrackIR 44: Pro.
Burnerski Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 I'm using a Cougar and initially had inoperative trim. The above fix got my pitch trim working. I thought pitch was a little too sensitive with the default setting so I flattened the pitch line out , feels pretty realistic now. Proper technique is to constantly trim the aircraft when speed is changing, it doesn't take much speed change to get the aircraft out of trim, just like in RL.
SilentEagle Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 Seems I only have this issue in single player. Mutli-player is just fine.. maybe you guys with this problem should check this out to see if it is the case with you as well. Granted the force-feedback fix does work, it is unfortunate for those of us with FF sticks.
Thunderbird Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 guys i had the same issue as well then i went to shop quickly and purchased a new logitech extreme 3d pro FF joystick, it was not as bad as the old joystick i had, but after i adjusted my deadzone and curve my jet is solid like rock now, i guess you need to adjust both of it until you fix it.. btw i guess this is not a bug
SilentEagle Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 it's a bug. has been since 1.12 I get different pitch down in single player and not multiplayer with the same setup. Sometimes it just goes away or is not active for some users.
connos Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 Its not a Trim issue and its a pain in the ass if you have it. Its also not an input issue. I will investigate further and I will post. Now I pitch Trim all the time due to this by using buttons and not dials. hreich Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 I just tested it and in multiplayer ffb effects are working, there is n o pitch down sindrome.. Seems I only have this issue in single player. Thunderbird Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 i think so, the first day i used my Logitech Extreme 3D pro i set the deadzone to 7 and curve to 40 and it was solid, but then suddenly when i try yesterday i get this nose down problem, it does solve the issue when disable forcefeedback in producer.cfg but u know for FF joystick when disable the FF features my stick is loosen and lot of empty space in middle which make the plane go up and down and roll if i let go the stick from my hand, no matter how in adjust the curve its still nose down, i have no idea how to solve this issue, i just purchased this joystick for FC2 and was only working for 1 day, now im thinking to go back to the shop and change a new unit or buy another new Logitech joystick and try, i will post the update here later
connos Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 As I check I have this issue only with A10. With flaps on is flying better. Pitch Trim doesn't help. Thunderbird Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 change joystick but still same issue here with Logitech Extreme 3D pro Force Feedback, I guess the problem is with FF, I have a friend using the same joystick but the one without FF and no issue for him, For the Logitech come with FF the issue can be solved when we disable FF from producer.cfg but then its useless becoz when disable the FF the stick lose its grip and no longer stiff, Just like you're flying using the stick without power adapter on it

Kaptein_Damli Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 I noticed this to, after take off with A-10 I have to add a lot of trim to keep the plane stable. I also noticed I had to trim a lot to keep the plane steady. I have checked my settings in the X52 calibration screen and the cross is steady. I have force feedback sat to "false". I thought this was due to flaps I had to trim after take off, but I tried taking off without flaps too and the plane wants to drop down unless I apply positive trim. Think this is a major bug and hope ED will fix this with a patch? It worked flawless in 1.12. I can fly and have fun of course as I am able to trim, but it shouldn´t really be necessary to trim that much. It feels like you fling the P-47 in IL-2! lol :) I truly believe this can be fixed with a hot fix or something as so many people have the exact same problem. I haven´t flown any multiplayer yet so don´t know how it works there. My moviemaking channel at YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/user/RobertDamli
ED Team Wags Posted April 1, 2010 ED Team Posted April 1, 2010 We are investigating, but so far neither the team or our testers have been able to reproduce this. We'll keep trying. Kaptein_Damli Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 I must also add that I changed forcefeedback from "true" to "false" and the down pitching still occurred. Also worth mentioning, this problem is far less with the SU-27. I do need to trim in the flanker too, but I have some problems holding altitude with the Hog even with trim. I also wished we could set trim to a lower value each time I hit the trim button. It´s like I want half the amount of trim to keep the plane on the "zero" line holding altitude without using autohold. I will do some testing in the other planes to see if also effect the F-15.
