Hi folks,

I`d like to share with you a couple of screen-shots that show the abilities of the F15 in FC2 when it comes to survival.

Following a midair both wings were ripped from the airframe giving BETTY a little concern about the technical status of the aeroplane.

Just before bailing out I realized the engines still being responsive to my inputs.

While gaining speed rapidly the tailerons also gained controllability for the steering part of the show.

That made me think, if it could fly like this it could land like this.

A good 250 to 280 kts upon touchdown and sochi still provides enough runway to come to a full stop.:music_whistling:

Regards

I've heard that fairy tale I doubt it was true, however I may be wrong.

Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D

Not a fairy tale. The other plane was destroyed (mid-air collision)

Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D

I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda

It is true, seen the photos and read the details in several books on Eagles.

Was also the subject of a Nat Geographical type documentary if I recall.

Was an Israeli F-15 on training that impacted with an A-4.

Google for: F-15 one wing and be amazed..

Not a fairy tale Bob (nightmare perhaps). At high speed there's enough lift over body and canopy apparently to keep it airborne long enough to land.

Did you hit two AC mid air? how'd you lose both wings and not damage any other part of the Eagle with only one hit?

After air refueling while flying at the tankers wing he decided to turn into me.

Before I realized what happened I`d gone straight trough his airframe.

What you see is the result of it

Yes, everything on internet and Nat Geo is true!

BTW did you watch Zohan?!! He's an Israeli too!

You could fly the F15 without wings in 1.02 as well.

If you taxi past hangars at high speed you can tear the wings off and then take off and fly around as if nothing was wrong. Well you gotta do it much much faster...

Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

Another thing to remember is that you don't have to be flying directly towards the target to keep a lock. If you can fly 30 degrees to left or right and still keep lock that makes it harder for enemy to lock on to you, and harder for missile as well. I do this as long as I can until I think an enemy missile is close to me then I take hard evasive action :-)
