Eisenhorn Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 Couldn't find a troubleshooting forum so I apologize for posting here. I installed Lock-on fresh and then 1.1 (downloaded) and the game loads, can adjust options but reboots when loading screen gets to 100% on missions. I'm running a PCI express motherboard 3.6 GHZ Intel with 6800 Ultra 256MB card. All Dxdiag tests are fine. tried with all sound off and no difference. Sound card is Audigy 2. XP with latest sertvice pack and updates. any help? It did work with 71.84 Nvidia drivers but problem began after upgrading to 71.89. Anyone else have this problem?
WhiskeyRomeo Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 Looks like this is pretty much the everything forum - at least for now - so you're posting in the right place. Have you tried loading different missions files? Same Result? Will you look in the Lock On/Temp folder and find the Errors file and post about the last 10 lines of it here? You can use Notepad to open the file. Also do the same with the System file in the same folder - last 10 lines or so. Maybe someone will see something there, or have an idea on what to have you look for next?
Drone Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 I had the same problem so I rolled em back to an older version.. Works good again.. Drone Lockon 1.2 Beta Test Team
Eisenhorn Posted April 19, 2005 Author Posted April 19, 2005 Thanks guys. It's somewhat comforting to know you're not alone.

ViperVJG73 Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 You should start Lock On with double clicking on the file "lockon.bat" in the Lock on directory once. :D The ForceWare 71.89 runs very nice with LOMAC. ;) Best Regards Viper System: Intel Core i7-4790, 3,6GHz, 16GB RAM, 128GB SSD, 2TB HDD, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 2GB GDDR5, TM HOTAS Warthog;(MSFFB2 for testing); TrackIR4 +Track Clip Pro; Windows 10 Pro.
aceflier Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 hmm does that work? Im still on 1.02 and it still blue screens on me. Has anyone tried this? And viper what vid card do you have most problems seem to be on 6800's. Duh just saw your sig. Can you try it with 1 card and see the results? This would be great if it does work because my temp is 10C lower on this driver than 71.84. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Also with of a card operated the 71.89 very well with 1.02. ;) Best Regards Viper System: Intel Core i7-4790, 3,6GHz, 16GB RAM, 128GB SSD, 2TB HDD, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 2GB GDDR5, TM HOTAS Warthog;(MSFFB2 for testing); TrackIR4 +Track Clip Pro; Windows 10 Pro.

aceflier Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 Well, the .bat workaround didnt workaround for me. :( Back to 71.84 I go. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
169th_Moose Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 The latest from Nvidia 71.89, gave me blue screen of death on my Xp. I was able to start the game. But as soon as the game started to load when clicking on fly, 3/4 trough the OS crashed pertaining a nvidia file. So I removed them, ran driver cleaner then tried; Forceware 76.44 Win2000/XP WHQL http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=1028 from Guru3d They work great on my PC for my BFG6800gt. Hope this helps.
aceflier Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 The 76 beta drivers give me sound pops on my audigy 2. Cant win im afraid the 66.9 and 71.84 are the only ones that work well with all games on my bfg. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
