DetroitDieseL Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 (edited) I had lock on before but did an upgrade to vista 64 bit, plus lock on wouldn't work because the protection software. At any rate, I have windows vista 64bit and I want to play this again. I want to start from scratch with the original Lock-on, but can I do that with vista?? What do I need to be current with everyone else?? Do I need BS also?? I need help. Thanks in advance guys. Sorry, I think I posted this in the wrong section. ED Team Glowing_Amraam Posted April 1, 2010 ED Team Posted April 1, 2010 If you already own Lock On, go buy Flaming Cliffs 2. And also Black Shark if you want. Running it on Vista/Windows 7 is not a problem at all. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgJRhtnqA-67pKmQ3A2GsgA ED youtube channel https://www.facebook.com/glowingamraam My facebook page
DetroitDieseL Posted April 1, 2010 Author Posted April 1, 2010 I don't own it anymore, I will buy it. Should I buy the first lock on then patch it up with the flaming cliffs then do the flaming cliffs 2 then BS or what order do I do it in?? If you want peace, prepare for war.... garengarch Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 Buy lock on install it but don't run it - buy fc2 and install. Delete lock on. Play fc2. Vega 2700x /16Gb ram/480Gb SSD/1Tb Seagate/nVidia 2080/Win 10 64 bit Rift. T-flight pedals.
Nate--IRL-- Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 For FC2 you just need Lomac (no need for FC1 or patches) You don't need anything for BS Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
DetroitDieseL Posted April 1, 2010 Author Posted April 1, 2010 So the BS has nothing to do with lock on?? If you want peace, prepare for war.... America's Armor Dev Notes AARM on Facebook Help Fund AARM
Nate--IRL-- Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 No it is a separate much more detailed Simulator, however Lo and BS share the same terrain engine, and are/will be compatible online. Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading

DetroitDieseL Posted April 1, 2010 Author Posted April 1, 2010 Ok. So just to be certain, I get Lock-on the first/original version, then get the flaming cliffs 2. Install LOMAC but do not run it, the install FC2 and then uninstall LOMAC. Then I can install BS and run it or FC2 and be able to join BS servers or FC2 servers with no problems. Just use the game of choice depending on what I want to fly. Is that basically it?? If you want peace, prepare for war.... America's Armor Dev Notes AARM on Facebook Help Fund AARM

Haven't uninstalled Lock On yet, don't mind the 1+GB installation. You can install Black Shark any time you want, it's a stand alone product and doesn't require any LOMAC product.
