GGTharos Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 No, it doesn't. It is a mock-up. The capability of launching this missile from the Su-33 is still entirely fictional. evilnate Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 I too am shocked there isn't guided anti-ship capabilities anymore. This makes naval operations impotent to say the least. It would be nice if ED re-skinned and added a hook to a Su-25T to quickly make a Su-25UTG. Being offense-less to a NATO fleet is a crime to the Federation! ;)
GGTharos Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 The 'Federation' relies on a fleet of Submarines, not on its 24 Su-33's that would be lost in the first 10 minutes of a fight in action against a carrier group. The Kuz's and thus Su-33's purpose is to defend those submarines from anti-submarine air assets, not to attack ships. combatace Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 (edited) Thats a shame. I gotta wonder if its possible to modify the mission text file and put the KH-41 on a Su-33 via CLSID so its built into the mission itself. If the missile is still functional I might consider doing that for a co-op or something. I remember a while back I played a co-op that put a pair of Kh-31s on the Su-33, and it worked the same as the Kh-41. Ok editing the mission text file works. I didn't look for the Kh-41 CLSID since no aircraft can equip it anymore so I put a pair of Kh-31s onboard. I can't get a targeting diamond to show up though. But the old procedure of going to A2G mode and turning the radar on worked... just need that target diamond. You will get the CLSID fron the file names.lua. Also even if you add this missile on Su-33 you won't be able to use it on ships due to the limitations of FC2 targeting system. I mean you can hit a static ship by accuratly putting the point target on it but you can't hit a moving ship at all. VireVolte_tigrou Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 It's still possible to shoot moving ships by using AGM-65s or Kh-29T.
JG-1_Vogel Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 Hell yeah, navalised Su-25T please! That would be awesome :pilotfly:

Grimes Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 it would still be a nice feature to have implemented to allow for custom aircraft to be capable of such a use! Aliboy Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 Is it possible to Sink Ships In FC2 now with Su-33 or Su-27 ? they fire their guns like crazy when you go near them. The...Kh-41 would be great to use in this situation In FC1 I used to like to go ship hunting with it online http://www.mediafire.com/?nmi2kmymdl1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
RIPTIDE Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 My experience with the '41 was generally single shots were almost useless. I did however, work out the ballistics of a Kh-41 and fired it in unguided mode. :D It makes a very big hole on an airbase. And on a ship, you could have its terminal flight below the 10m SAM floor. :D [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Being offense-less to a NATO fleet is a crime to the Federation! ;) To make the Su-25T into a Su-25UTG takes a bit more than a hook and a skin, it would also take the removal of the cannon and all other weapons systems. The Su-25UTG was a low cost carrier landing training aid for budding Su-33 pilots, not a combat aircraft. The only thing that the pylons can carry is fuel tanks, nothing else. The only thing it has in common with the Su-25T is its low numbers, atm the is 6 25Ts and 10 Su-25UTGs (of those only 3 are original UTGs, the rest are rebuilt Su-25UBs). Originally there were 10 units in the Soviet airforce but during the break-up Russia got 5 and Ukraine got the other 5. EtherealN Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 While all you russians lament the loss of ASM's that the real thing cannot fire, I'll just ask a quick question: What about the blue side? Best I've got is AGM-65D on the A10. :( Please let me load Harpoons on my A10? I've read in the past all Su-25Ts have been modernized to TM standard with Pastel ect. Now they have 6-8 Su-25TM and they're also used (not all) as test platform for Su-25SM. As UTG.... maybe there is no need to create strickly UTG, but T-toad launched from carrier would be extremely nice. NavalOps for frogs eeeh it'd be fantastic :D Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D ಠ_ಠ ツ
