EtherealN Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 I think you can circumvent it this way: Open the track file in 7zip, then open the options file in Notepad++, scroll down to difficulty = { padlock = false, easyRadar = false, miniHUD = false, birds = 100, optionsView = "optview_all", permitCrash = false, immortal = false, map = true, radio = false, geffect = "realistic", setGlobal = true, aftSwitching = false, cockpitLanguage = "english", tips = true, easyFlight = false, altTrimmingMethod = false, externalViews = true, iconsTheme = "nato", fuel = false, weapons = false, units = "imperial", labels = false, }, -- end of difficulty Change as you prefer, and save back into the archive. SP.. just a mission in the editor I made I think you can circumvent it this way: Open the track file in 7zip, then open the options file in Notepad++, scroll down to Change as you prefer, and save back into the archive. ..I can make the change in the options file, but how do you archivate it back, I tried winrar and 7zip, with the first I can archivate it under xxx.trk but when I load it in the trackviewer or editor I get some error and have to close FC2.0 Hey; Are you saying you can't view missles launched..if so the command is Ctrl+F6 Then you can watch your missle heading to target :pilotfly::joystick::thumbup: ..it is about the locked views Spoiler AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, MSI MEG X570 UNIFY (AM4, AMD X570, ATX), Noctua NH-DH14, EVGA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti XC3 ULTRA, Seasonic Focus PX (850W), Kingston HyperX 240GB, Samsung 970 EVO Plus (1000GB, M.2 2280), 32GB G.Skill Trident Z Neo DDR4-3600 DIMM CL16, Cooler Master 932 HAF, Samsung Odyssey G5; 34", Win 10 X64 Pro, Track IR, TM Warthog, TM MFDs, Saitek Pro Flight Rudders
asparagin Posted April 11, 2010 Author Posted April 11, 2010 Ok I got it. The F10 options (in the options menu) apply also for the external views. I had there "only my aircraft" and if you save the track like this, you can only see your aircraft. Now I changed to "all" and when it saves, you can watch everything. EtherealN Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 What I did just now to double-check was: 1) Started a track of mine as-is, ran fine 2) Made a copy 3) Opened the copy in 7zip and extracted the options file from it 4) Changed labels to true (as a quick test to see whether it survives edits at all), and saved it outside the original .trk file. 5) With the 7zip window that opened the .trk still open, i click-drag the edited options file into the 7zip window. I am prompted about whether I really want to do this, I say yes. 6) I started the track again in FC2, ran fine and labels were now on by default. If it's small enough you could attach the track or otherwise upload it somewhere and I can try to achieve a free view for it. Also, I assume you have tried going into your own options screen and activate both External Views and check the box for "Use these options for all missions"? DCS and FC2 load a track basically the same way it loads a mission. I should have thought about that first - if you have not had a look at that, do that and file editing might prove unecessary. EDIT: There you go, awesome. :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Daniel "EtherealN" Agorander | Даниэль "эфирныйн" Агорандер Intel i7 2600K @ 4.4GHz, ASUS Sabertooth P67, 8GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1600MHz, ASUS GTX 560Ti DirectCU II 1GB, Samsung 830series 512GB SSD, Corsair AX850w, two BENQ screens and TM HOTAS Warthog DCS: A-10C Warthog FAQ | DCS: P-51D FAQ | Remember to read the Forum Rules | | | Life of a Game Tester

h00t74 Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Okay, When I try this I get the following error message.. (This is an MP track) I changed the optionsView = "optview_all", externalViews = true, The origianl Track works fine. Here is the original track. http://www.virtual66th.com/helper/nalchik.trk
asparagin Posted April 11, 2010 Author Posted April 11, 2010 Ok so you need winrar and notepad++ 1. double click on the .trk data and open with winrar (important: don't extract, just open, so you can see the files inside the winrar window) 2. then inside the winrar window open the options file (the last one) with notepad++ 3. make the chages (optionsView = "optview_all", externalViews = true) 4. save the optionsfile, close notepad++ 5. a window from winrar appears asking if you want to update the archive, press "yes" and ready. I tried your file myself and it works. If you can't do it I can upload your file. asparagin Posted April 11, 2010 Author Posted April 11, 2010 there you go: http://rapidshare.com/files/374792201/nalchik.trk you should try it yourself again, it is not so complicated. I had the same error as I tried to pack the folder after editing the file. the trick is not to unpack everything just work within winrar. Dredge Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 optionsView = "optview_all", externalViews = true "externalViews = true" causes crashes. just delete that and you are good to go. so it should just be: options = "optview_all" and thats it :D Virtaul 66th XO [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
