104th_Crunch Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 This is a great program. It's a great learning tool and a good way to ferret out cheaters. With the way a lot of servers run you just die and instantly go to a view of the airport. Unless it's a contest or a squad vs squad event who cares if someone can look at a semi live feed of the game? If someone really wants to waste their time to give a blow by blow of what you are doing then just don't play on their server or ban them from yours. On the flip side I also wonder what people who dislike this program are trying to hide? What a shame that Vyrtuoz hard work all goes to waste. ACMI of single player AI is useless unless you are a beginner or mission designer. Missed this post. No one is against Tacview. It is an awesome tool and Vortuyz should be commended for sharing his hard work with us all. You couldn't ban someone using Tacview to view live flights as you can't tell they are doing so with reliability. There is still no shame here. Simply watch a track replay with Tacview enabled to get a Tacview of a multiplayer flight after the fact. Just takes more patience but it is still a great tool.

Boberro Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 I really appreciate efforts which were needed to made TacView, but is there any solution which would allow people to record tracks (tacview files) while playing simultaneously? I know there is exploit, but really there is no any solution for that issue? I am not talking about half measures like recording once again after few hours of playing but just doing like it was in FC 1 times. :helpsmilie::cry: Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D ಠ_ಠ ツ
fitness88 Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 Using Vista 32, 4 GIG Ram, Radeon 3870x2: I can't run TacView, upon starting the program, it locks up then I get a warning that my video card has stopped running, then it crashes. Any ideas what could cause this? I've changed my video drivers and worked with AMD tech support. Thank you.
Michelange Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 (edited) @Bobero but is there any solution which would allow people to record tracks (tacview files) while playing simultaneously? In last news we have (at EVAC), Vyrtuoz awnsered some questions : here is a google translation Tacview 1.0 :Why is there a payware ? Like many professionals - both civilian and military - use Tacview, I had to produce a payware license. Am I obligated to pay 1.0 Tacview to use ? Unless you use Tacview in a professional, you do not have to buy a license. As a private, you can use free Tacview 1.0 in the same way you always used Tacview 0.95. And as has always been the case in my software, there will be no popup, no advertising. That allows for the free version of Tacview 1.0 ? The free version of Tacview 1.0 continues to offer the same functionality than previous versions. Plus lots of new free to each update. What is the point of purchase a license for an individual ? There are two licenses for sale: Home and Professional. Each license provides more features and services that the previous license. The list of features specific to each license is detailed on this page: http://lomac.strasoftware.com/tacview-order.php When do Tacview 1.0 will be available ? I confess: 1.0 Tacview sulfur syndrome Vista. That said, once the graphics module is completed, I could publish the first public version. If all goes well, it should be around March 2011. Registered users can already try out a beta version using their serial number. In the professionnal version there is a tag for : Realtime analysis during record. The best to do is to contact Vyrtuoz.
