I'm not sure if I understand, language barrier and all.

Can you give a step-by-step instruction to your fix?

The way I understand his solution:

Before running any "important" mission, run ANY MISSION, just start and exit, to have AI properly set up. Maybe something gets mistakenly initialized in the debriefing scripts rather than briefing (pre-mission) scripts...

...well someone has to move the mud!!!

There are two ways:

1-. Open any mission.

2-. Exit from that mission (not from the sim)

3-. Play ant another mission and will not see anymore wingman "unable" to attack.

Sometimes, the bug appears ONLY with the first mission you fly when, ít´s like AI was loaded partially.

Another way is enter into mission editor or mission planner, that action fix the AI "unable" problem too, and then, fly the mission.

Mission planner? How is that accessed?

In the mission briefing screen, just before fly the mission click into "mission planer" button.

*blink*

I don't think I've ever noticed that. I'll have to look tonight.

Edit: Broody herr, I never knew about the mission planner. Yet there it is. Oops. :)

Seems that even enter mission planner, bug "unable" is still there.

Plz, ED, I know all of you are very busy with DCS A-10, but maybe a hotfix for this bug would not take many time, it´s really annoying

Thanks in advance

Bump, you all need to wait for the next version in that case. :)

Is that an informed recommendation, by any chance?

Because really, at this point this is really the game-killing bug for me.

I've been flying the Oil War campaign, and it's great fun when my wingmen actually operate properly and help me take care of the targets (I love the feeling of really providing CAS over an actual running battle that the GOW campaign gives)... but when the wingmen just stand there and keep saying "unable", or fly in and get themselves killed for no reason, it is an incredible downer.

Especially since I know russia only has something like 12 Black Sharks, seeing wingmen throwing theirs away hurts. :)

ED hasn't informed any of us (community) about any patches specificly for DCS:BS ahead of DCS:W. We just have to wait, DCS:W changes alot in the DCS engine, and alot of bugs have been ironed out.

The chances that AI will be perfect after some patch are rather slim. That's why IMO ED should think about some 'Call him names!' radio 'command' which would FORCE the bustard to reset all his thinking, run towards safety (preferably in the direction of his commander) and try again/try doing it differently. Yes, I am serious.
