GGTharos Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 I know the eagle in RL has the entire bottom hemisphere covered completely, and probably the top one also ... it was in fact a specific improvement done to eagles a very very long time ago. RvEYoda Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 If you barrel roll around the missile then it will be within 10 degrees of your bank. It will not drop off your RWR, or you have the geometry wrong. RvEYoda Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 At most 20. Maybe, depends on how you do it, but definitely not outside rwr limits. S = SPARSE(m,n) abbreviates SPARSE([],[],[],m,n,0). This generates the ultimate sparse matrix, an m-by-n all zero matrix. - Matlab help on 'sparse'

kingneptune117 Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 I noticed a long time ago that once you bank up or down to much the rwr stops being effective. Its definitely true. Oceandar Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 Why don`t you guys make a head to head combat in MP to prove your theory and make a track/video of it. It would make poster life`s easier. Mastering others is strength. Mastering yourself is true power. - Lao Tze
combatace Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 Why don`t you guys make a head to head combat in MP to prove your theory and make a track/video of it. It would make poster life`s easier. I had more MP hits with this technique than I do in SP. I could have posted the tacview files but some how they got corrupt. There were 2 AIM-120's fired at you. You spoofed none of them. Both hit, the 1st one causing radar and other damage, the second one destroying you. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
combatace Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 (edited) I reviewed your track. There were 2 AIM-120's fired at you. You spoofed none of them. Both hit, the 1st one causing radar and other damage, the second one destroying you. What did you see, the track or some thing else? I spoofed 4 before getting hit by the 5th and the 6 th one. watch by pressing F6 at these timings, 1st 12:01:45 2nd 12:02:00 3rd 12:02:21 Edited May 20, 2010 by combatace To support my models please donate to paypal ID: hp.2084@gmail.com https://www.turbosquid.com/Search/Artists/hero2084?referral=hero2084
RIPTIDE Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 (edited) LOL? Mate. You're looking at the same missiles when you are pressing F6. Just look at these, and I'll say it again: There were only TWO AIM-120 launches on you, and both hit you. You managed to get one of the F-15C's (after the fact your radar was knocked out BTW). Below I have just about left in the 1st AIM-120 trail as it hit you. Edited May 20, 2010 by RIPTIDE 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
combatace Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 (edited) don't show me those because as far as I have experienced none are trust worthy. Debriefing as so many problems that I can't define. first 2 are BVR shots and those which actually killed me were WVR shots, can't you even make out that. of course 2nd 120 did hit me but it did not affect me, none of the systems failed. Also, at 1st 12:01:45 I literally pass by that missile than can you tell me how us it going to hit me and more to that I see it getting self destruct at some later. Rather than observing the debriefing and tacview, do one thing observe the track. By the way I was hit by Aim-120B hot is that your log is showing Aim-120C. RIPTIDE Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 . Rather than observing the debriefing and tacview, do one thing turn in you labels and than observe the track. I did 1st. It was only afterwards (for your benefit) that I enabled the TACVIEW. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
nomdeplume Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 Maybe you uploaded the wrong track? I just watched it within the game in the F10 map view (with full visibility of everything) and there two missile launches at you, both of which hit you. Definitely no missing at all, and no 120B's were launched in that track.

Fahhh Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 Sure there are inconsistencies in Tacview recordings, But missing missiles - that's very very very rare thing, and I doubt it's the case this time. Your RWR may have gone silent for a sec ro two and you may have thought you've spoofed a missile or two, while actually they were still homing on you...
combatace Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 Well than I'll make a movie and post the link over here. Just now I'm at work so will do it at the first place when I get home. RIPTIDE Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 (edited) Now you're making sense. Those are different than the one you posted initially. I'm on the road with a POS netbook so I just was able to see the Tac'S. :( Are you using the latest FC 2.0 ? Yes? It would be interesting if a barrel roll still junked missiles consistently.. consistently been the important feature. Edited May 23, 2010 by RIPTIDE [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Pilotasso Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 A barrel roll can still throw off AMRAAMs but youll find to be hard when the adrenaline is pumping or more than 1 missiles are on the way. .
jetace Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 (edited) Barrel Roll Yes, barrel roll can "dumb" the AAMRAAM, if performed precisely at the right time, and the right position toward missile! :joystick: .....,but barrel roll cant save you if there's a little time for such to be done or your position is in disadvantage. Edited May 24, 2010 by jetace
