leroy1964 Posted May 29, 2010 Posted May 29, 2010 Hi Guys, I have asked before (ages ago) and cannot find the thread which answered the question before. I am trying to assign collective up and down to my Logitech Extreme 3D Pro but do not know which command to select from the list. Anybody else got this joystick as I am sick of using Q and A.:helpsmilie: Cheers:joystick:
HitchHikingFlatlander Posted May 29, 2010 Posted May 29, 2010 It doesn't detect it by just moving it back or forth? http://dcs-mercenaries.com/ USA Squad
Frederf Posted May 29, 2010 Posted May 29, 2010 The "ALL" control filter list is a little misleading. The "ALL" category is just the keystroke type commands. The "Axis Commands" filter category contains all the axis-type control assignments. Should be able to double click on the collective axis line in the appropriate device column and assign the axis. The program is set up to detect which axis is in motion during the assignment process and so just moving that joystick axis should automatically detect it.
JLZ Posted May 29, 2010 Posted May 29, 2010 I'll assume you want to assign collective to the lever of 3D. The name of axis is JOY SLIDER 1. Start game with joystick plugged in, go to Options, Controls, under Category select Axis Commands Under Flight.. Collective and Logi...3D double click, window will open, move lever and it will assign JOY SLIDER 1 to it. I reversed it, so pulling lever to me is for "speed up" Hope I answered right questino :D [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
leroy1964 Posted May 29, 2010 Author Posted May 29, 2010 I wish It doesn't detect it by just moving it back or forth? Hello, I wish it was that easy, no it does not :( Cheers
26-J39 Posted May 29, 2010 Posted May 29, 2010 (edited) I use a Logitech Extreme 3D pro... The slider is: JOY SLIDER1 as posted by JLZ. And- The slider does not auto detect for me either. Is your 3D Pro a force feed back? Edited May 29, 2010 by 26-J39
JasonJ Posted May 29, 2010 Posted May 29, 2010 (edited) I have a Logitech Extreme 3d Pro (mine is not a FFB joystick) and the axes that are used for Cyclic are Joy X and Joy Y. Also if I select that axis to reconfigure it and move the joy stick, the game detects when I move it. edit: To assign it you MUST double click the control you want to assign, then a secondary dialog window appears: Then and only then can you move the stick and the game detects it. HitchHikingFlatlander Posted May 29, 2010 Posted May 29, 2010 Hello, I wish it was that easy, no it does not :( Cheers My guess is your trying to assign it under Keystrokes and not Axis Commands. I think someone may have mentioned this already. http://dcs-mercenaries.com/ USA Squad
