Logite Posted May 29, 2010 Share Posted May 29, 2010 Yes. I lost a deactivation and a reactivation since I didn't know you could uninstall without deactivating. If it's not activated it will use one activation. If you run out of activation just contact support. There's really nothing to be scared of regarding activations. The mind is like a parachute. This Deactivation Code has been already used for re-activation of the application." marlondcs Posted May 31, 2010 Share Posted May 31, 2010 Cannot reactivate DCS BLACKSHARK. Hi, Just recently I installed update 1.02 for DCS Blackshark. After the update I tested it, single and multiplayer seemed to work fine. Only training mission seemed not to work. (hope you fix this soon) Anyway yesterday I tried to play again and it asked me for reactivation. I clicked try again and received this message: Unable to launch the application due to integrity fault of the Activation Key. Re-enter a valid Activation Key or re-activate the application. If the error recurs, press "Error report" and send the report to product technical support. I tried uninstaling and installing again but still receive the same message now I cannot play. Also I installed the game once so this means I still have 7 activations left, but on the starforce site I see i have only six left. I don't want a new activation code I just want be able to play without problems. I cannot activate or deactivate. PLEASE help. I had tried contactins dcs support but I keep getting a mail delivery failure. Is there another email support? Nobody kicks ass without air-support. Nobody. Panzertard Posted May 31, 2010 Share Posted May 31, 2010 1. If you had some other keys in use, when you started DCS it tried to use another key for DCS, which is invalid for the DCS product. Recheck your serial number either from the box, or if you bought it online, see this image: http://en.wiki.eagle.ru/wiki/Troubleshooting:starforce:5.x (log in to the DCS site, and go to the products page, the serial is there). 2. Did you install DCS as "your user" - and then start it using "your user"? The keys are bound to your user - so if you installed with another user, you then have to log in with the user in question to be able to run the game. The mind is like a parachute. When I checked my key on the starforce website it shows that its active, and not blackflaged, everything seems ok. One thing I have noticed. That I have lost one key. So now only six remaining, had 7 before. The problem started with update 1.02. At first it worked just fine, yesterday it started asking me for activation. I treid emialing the error log to DCS support but kept recieving a delivery error. Please help. Nobody kicks ass without air-support. Nobody. We need to know if checked the correct serial - and then pressed next after the "Re-enter a valid Activation Key or re-activate the application." If you didnt, then please try. If you did - and you're 150% sure you entered the *correct* serial, then we need help from support. :) You will loose activations - but thats normal, 100% normal ... so normal that they will help you very fast when you run out. I get the mail error delivery report. In my anger i bought Flaming Cliffs 2. Tested if and i have to say it's a very nice update to the aging Lock On. (thanks DCS) and it's a better use for my G940. In my case I lost 2 activations (verified on starforce website). This certainly appears to be a bit weird to say the least. Certainly no Hardware or software have been added to my system since original installation of black shark. Naturally I would expect to loose activations should Hardware change but, as ststed earlier that is simply not the case. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I insulted DCS, I paid $83 for this thas shipping included. So i politeley want it to work. Panzertard did a great job trying to help me but unfortunatley that didn't work. it's no Panzertard's job to to that. DCS sould fix this. 159th_Viper Posted June 8, 2010 Share Posted June 8, 2010 Keeping in mind that activations/use thereof is not an issue and that you will be furnished with more upon request should your allocated number run out, give this a try: Uninstall and manually clear all leftover folders, if any. Reboot. Manually clear the registry of all entries pertaining to DCS:BS. Reboot. Install and patch to 1.02. Reboot and run the quick-start mission, prompting activation and see if the issue persists. If not, good. If so, at least you have eliminated a possible registry error on your system. Above will use an extra activation, but as stated, you will be furnished with more upon request. 1 Novice or Veteran looking for an alternative MP career? So this would mean that you do not have a serial number registered to an account at digitalcombatsimulator.com. I also gather that when the activation box comes up, you have been able to verify that the key it is trying to use is indeed the correct one. Are you familiar with how to use regedit to look at registry keys? If so, you could verify that the registry has the right key stored properly. EDIT: Marlon, just to clarify: your problem is indeed part of the thread topic. The things I considered to not belong are no longer here. Feel free to continue. I made the error report tried to mail it to dcs support but get a mailer deamon error delivery repport.
