Hello everybody,

Yes, I know, the question of the compatibility between DCS and simkits.com is old...but in my point of view not completely answered. I really want to built my own FlightSim-Pit and I would prefer DCS because of its military background. But because of perfection, I would really like to have real gauges. So the customizable once from Simkits would be perfect: Nice and easy to connect (because I really have two left thumbs when it´s about wiring, computer-language and interfaces). The only missing link to my own pit is the Interface between this gauges and the .lau-file. Has anybody news? because the last entries are old and nobody mentioned a good solution. I also looked in the simkit forum and there were some good rudiments but also no final solutions.

Thanks a lot,

Sebastian

I saw simmeters updated its website. They updated a bit their software but changed the way they charge their customer. You have to buy the workspace (10 euros) + the DCS wrapper (10 euros) + each instrument you need (between 9 to 20 euros each according to complexity). Only a few russian gauges are available and most of them are for aircrafts, not helos.

Before going simmeters, you should consider bsvp which is free and working great but seems to be abandonned since it's last version.

I could eventually be ready to pay for the simmeters gauges instead if I was sure there will be all the Black Shark ones, but this is not the case yet.

...but it seems that they start to support eletromechanical gauges from other companys like Flight Illusion (too expensive in my opinion). So I hope that there will be a support for usb-simmkits-gauges in the near future (I´m not able to contact them, it seems that their homepage is a little bit "work in progress").

@BaD CrC: bsvp is not a real alternative because I like the feeling and the look of real mechanical gauges.

Yeah, but this wrapper only imports the Data in the worspace 3.0. From there, there is only support for the simmeter virtual gauges. What I need is a workspace that also supports simkits usb gauges.

You would think someone could make a way to use the Saitek guages for DCS series.

@Slayer, the question is about hardware gauges from simmeter in USB variants, not the Saitek "gauges",..but i think there should be a way to make Saitek work with DCS aswell.
