CyBerkut Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 hey fella. no the mike just pulls down or clips up out the way - cant be taken off. not sure about the trackir clip - i wear the hat :( but looking into getting a clip....anybody tell whether the clip would fit on these logitechs? they fit like this It doesn't appear that a TrackClip Pro would attach in a useable way to that headset in its factory issued configuration. I suspect it wouldn't be too hard to coble up an attachment method, providing one is willing to possibly sacrifice the spiffy folding capability of that headset. The TrackClip Pro is a lightweight item, so you might be able to put a cable tie around the left ear piece (just behind where the ear piece is attached to the headband), slide the TrackClip Pro's clip through the loop, and then snug it down for a stable mount. Keep in mind you would be attaching a fairly fragile/flimsy item (the TrackClip Pro) to another item that doesn't appear to be all that substantial itself. If it works though, and you remain mindful of the fragility, it could be a comfortable arrangement. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] There's no place like 127.0.0.1
Protos Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Sennheiser HD-555 Audiophile Headphones Zalman Microphone Zm-Mic1 High Sensitivity Headphone Microphone Retail (purchased 3 for spares = since what usually goes on headsets) Tough combo to beat. Got sick of purchashing headsets. Tried just about everything out there. Now I have audiophile headphones and whenever my mic goes its 5 bucks. 1 Ο ΤΟΛΜΩΝ ΝΙΚΑ http://www.hellenicsqn.com (under construction)

I belive it is possible to set it up but you will be then maybe have to change the angle of TIR4,5. If i would have this one i belive that i would be able to find the way to set it up with maybe some extra parts and strong glow with still looking good ;)

Bushmanni Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 I have Sennheiser HD595 + Creative SB X-Fi and they are amazing! X-Fi graphic equalizer function can be used to compensate for headphones lack of bass response without sacrificing overall sound quality. I tuned EQ by ear with a tone generating program to have a somewhat even response to all frequencies, basically just gradually boosted the low end spectrum from 1KHz downwards. HD595 has exellent bass response for a headphone to start with and with X-Fi you can boost it to ridiculous levels and still have clear sound. After tuning I can hear pretty much as low and loud bass as from a humongous loudspeaker except not feel my stomach vibrate. I haven't been able to really test the sound quality of the low end of the spectrum against known high quality source but I can't hear any apparent distortions or resonance or anything that would feel wrong or annoy me. Sound has a strong and deep bass without sounding like its bass boosted. Together HD595 and X-Fi are truly awesome combo, sound quality wise at least. I'm still amazed how big grin a good music can bring to my face when listening to it with this setup. HD595 is also really comfortable to wear for long periods of time and it doesn't make my ears sweat even in hot and humid summer times. Comfort is of course mostly an individual issue that depends on your shape of head and ears. HD595 contact surfaces with skin have a very nice feel to them regardless if your skin is sweaty or greasy and they can be removed and replaced which is also very big bonus as these are the first thing to turn bad. The biggest annoyance is that there's no mic and I wasn't able to figure a way to mount one in a smart way so thanks for Protos for a good tip. The only other thing is that HD595 lets all the outside noises in so you can't use them in a noisy environment. You have a studio version headphones, bass from that baby`s must be so freaking good. I'm fan of Sennheiser for the rest of my life, they bought me with so quality products where when you looking at specification, you looking at TRUE specification. http://www.sennheiser.co.uk/uk/home_en.nsf/root/private_headsets_pc_pro-gaming_500926?Open&row=2 all the way! They are so good, I sleep with them on... Also, another mate with not even smallest mistake with this choice. Good for gaming and music listening, like i said in one of my previous post, there is no wrong choice if you buy Sennheiser "Headphones or Headsets"! That Brand respect there customer, and what is most impotante thing is that they make only headphones, headsets and eardbuds. I think im clear here;) Edited July 11, 2010 by =124Sq=Zeljava
