VTJS17_Fire Posted July 11, 2010 Posted July 11, 2010 I can't load missions with the LotATC Server. So i don't have waypoints. And that's what you said. I need a known location to set a B/E. If we had coordinates, i could read the missionbriefing for B/E info and can set a B/E. But to ask the players for an Alpha Check, that's to complicatet imo. kind regards, fire PS: I found a bug. Tonight my buddy played and i did GCI support, just testing. I saw him taxi on the taxiway and he reportet "lined up" ... on the runway. But he was'nt on the shown runway. He was about 0.3nm beside the runway. Airport Batumi, Mapmode: simple. DArt Posted July 12, 2010 Author Posted July 12, 2010 Missions cannot be loaded with 3.0.0, you must wait the 3.0.1 to do that (it is currently working on testing version). For runaway, you are right, we have problems with the location and axis of new airports. Will be fixed with 3.0.1 version too. For high-res airports view, double-click on airports... (there is a bug with SAM, desactivate them in filters if you cannot get airport view, fix in 3.0.1 too). Do not hesitate to use the LotATC forum, my response time is better there than here ;) [ https://www.lotatc.com ]

Haggart Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 Hey, we've LoATC on our Squadron Server up & running - only trouble is, it fire's up only with the main admin-account, which I heavily dislike. It tells the user it cannot find no Lomac-Export. A bit more data: OS: Server 2008R2 x64 Virus scanner: tested by disabling it, same behaviour Installation folder: C:/Simulations (so not in the program files dir) "run as admin" with a foreign user triggers same behaviour Anyone any idea? There's no "Overkill". There's only "open fire!" and "time to reload". Specs: i7-980@4,2Ghz, 12GB RAM, 2x GTX480, 1x 8800GTS, X-Fi HD, Cougar, Warthog, dcs-F16-pedals
DArt Posted July 8, 2011 Author Posted July 8, 2011 Hi all, LotATC is sleeping last month due to new job, new baby... However, I am currently integrating some vectorial maps made by Michelange for each airports. I have just get DCS-A10C too (thanks to paypal donation for the project...) so I will certainly try to support it... [ https://www.lotatc.com ]
Laud Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Still count me in DArt! Just let me know if there is something I can help with. We miss the tool extremely with DCS A-10C!!! DArt Posted September 14, 2011 Author Posted September 14, 2011 Still count me in DArt! Just let me know if there is something I can help with. We miss the tool extremely with DCS A-10C!!! Thanks! My planning is to adapt LotATC for DCS-A10 (and maintain Fc2 compatibility too) and some extra features: - TS3 support - TARS support (should be great to allow ATC with TARS) - new maps for airports No release date is planned yet ;) but I will work on that. Presing Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Can Loatc 3.0.0 work with black shark server? I try it and he is all time asking me for MEinit.lua (file from lock on FC 1.12) on the start up. Rocket brigade who retired F-117
Robin_Hood Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 Can Loatc 3.0.0 work with black shark server? I try it and he is all time asking me for MEinit.lua (file from lock on FC 1.12) on the start up. I think it should work. I have had the same problem on an FC2 install. Basically, LotATC doesn't find the info on units, etc... You can make it work by copying the whole Scripts folder into [LotATC directory]\common\files\FC2\. You should thus have a folder [LotATC]\common\files\FC2\Scripts\. Well, it works with FC2, I think it should work with Black Shark also (providing export script is correctly installed). 2nd French Fighter Squadron
104th_Crunch Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 Can someone please help my Lotact client problem I am having please. The post is here http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1305910#post1305910 Thanks for LOTACT 3! Is an awesone addon.
104th_Crunch Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 Dart, What is your opinion about server connection stability and LOTACT? We just ran 30+ players, with many players having a +300 ping and got constant disconnections (server ping time out error messages for each player). The server and LOTACT were running normally. We, then restarted mission without LOTACT and connections were fine. Please let us know your thoughts. Thanks for your work with LOTACT!
DArt Posted October 16, 2011 Author Posted October 16, 2011 We successfully work with +40 players on LAN but with a LotATC server on a LOFC2 client (works well without modification). If controllers are in blue and red coalition, the LotATC computation take some times (calculating if all units can be detected by each coalition). So if LotATC is on LOFC2 server with a lot of player, it could generate some problems (depending of server capacities, multi core is better of course). A solution is to use a good LOFC2 client (can be a pilot or better a spectator) with the lua export of LotATC and LotATC server. In our squad, we use a pilot (my old Core2duo is ok for 40 players). We works to limit the CPU use, but well, it need to do the job correctly :) [ https://www.lotatc.com ]

Case Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 I suggest you try to decrease the refresh rate and disable logging to file. There are only 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.
104th_Crunch Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 A solution is to use a good LOFC2 client (can be a pilot or better a spectator) with the lua export of LotATC and LotATC server. Hi Dart, Thanks! We will test this out soon. Awesome tip for all of us that use this great tool. Laud, Now you know, time for another Locerf! :smilewink: Case, I guess those 2 things are not in the GUI, right? Riptide, Smartass! Yes, I am sure it would have helped.
Case Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 I guess those 2 things are not in the GUI, right? No. Check config/export/lotatc2-2.0.lua and increase the SAMPLING_PERIOD and comment out all things to do with the log file (io.open, io.write etc). Moa will know how to do this. There are only 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.
DArt Posted October 17, 2011 Author Posted October 17, 2011 Case has right, I forget to specify it but by disabling the log, you will gain some resources with lot of objects in FC2. Increasing the SAMPLING_PERIOD only affect the first part of server, but the client part (which communicate with LotATC client) will still used same resources. Note that in this case, you lose precision in object position and can get some stange things on LotATC clients (on destruction, new objects in scope). [ https://www.lotatc.com ]
