Nate Dogg Posted May 1, 2005 Posted May 1, 2005 Hi, Just having a really annoying problem with 1.1, if i run the game for say 15mins, when i close the game it will shut down reasonably quickly. However if i play for extended times, it will almost exponentialy take longer and longer to close down, as is 1 hour of play = 5 mins to close the application! Anyone else having this problem? Cheers
Andrew_McP Posted May 1, 2005 Posted May 1, 2005 Anyone else having this problem? I've certainly noticed quitting times seem to be quite long sometimes. Normally I don't spend that long in a LOMAC session (maybe an hour at most) and it's not that obvious. But when I was filming for my recent movie I spent hours in LOMAC and it certainly took a *long* time to quit afterwards. I thought the PC had crashed, but the HD light was flashing away as if a lot of data was being shuffled (rather than some sort of regular "please reboot, I currently have my head up my *rse" kind of way) so I left it for a while and eventually the desktop came back. I guess it's more of an inconvenience than a problem though. Andrew McP
Nate Dogg Posted May 1, 2005 Author Posted May 1, 2005 true its more of an inconvenience, but if it was an isolated case it would be a problem. Never had this problem with 1.02.
Red_5 Posted May 1, 2005 Posted May 1, 2005 This problem is easily fixed if you have no problems turning your computer off at the mains! ;)
Skywall23 Posted May 1, 2005 Posted May 1, 2005 This is a memory problem. Lock On is a very memory demanding game, so even with 1Gb you will notice this kinda of "loading" when you exit the game. But AFAIK this effect is more notable in 1.1 .
Nate--IRL-- Posted May 1, 2005 Posted May 1, 2005 Easiest thing to do is alt-tab and kill LOMAC in the task manager. Instant shutdown of lomac. Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
Pilotasso Posted May 1, 2005 Posted May 1, 2005 I see those pesky memory leaks are still present...in 1.02 the more I spend playing the more my swapfile swells. When I quit it takes a long time to unalokate it. .
