I think the bottomline is that we would like to see this modelled in FC2 but problaly never will unless it is possible through a .LUA script.

Seriously though, i hope, (as do many others), that ED do a "DCS: kick arse fast jet sim" after A-10. Would love an F-15, possibly an eagle / strike eagle double, but that’s just me, (I loved the flexibility of combined A-A and A-G operations in that game beginning with an “F” that we don’t mention here. And without….that particular aeroplane, the F-15C & E would be a complementary duo).

 

As for your point, you don’t see many avionics mods about. LEAVU / ERI notwithstanding and no FM mods that i can recall. Not sure you can actually mod the flight model directly.

 

And besides, you would need the resources and skills of aeronautical engineers and access to military / engineering data to get anywhere. A co-ordinated team of modders maybe with specific and complementary skillsets.

 

That’s how a lot of software companies get started nowadays though. Modders to professionals.

Dont worry..

Well it not the FM that needs attention, its more the way we control it. Deflection of the joystick equals an amount og G's.

What we need is a link between the joystick and the controlsurface which is able to limit the amount of input sent to elevator dependent of airspeed.

Not sure this is the right way around though..

Why not do an aircraft that does it all, like the Super Hornet? Modern aircraft with plenty of life left in it, and multi-national users! It's got awesome systems to model, great A/A A/G capabilities, and on top of that, it would mean naval operations. :thumbup:

Well - two users. The united states and a small number in australia, though the latter has only started taking deliveries of the few they ordered.

 

Don't confuse the super hornet with the regular hornet too much - they look similar but are very different. (Not least in size.)

ED Listen to us! We want a fast jet study in DCS. My vote is for a Hornet, that would be great and would give us the multirole capability that we want.

 

EtherealN: There are more than two users:

 

USA, Australia, Canada, Spain, Switzerland also I believe.

 

--EDIT: Sorry, you are talking about the Super Hornet, my mistake. Why not just give us an F/A18c?
