No same settings. I think the other thread answered my question. Looks like Nvidia control panel only cares about the name of the executable and not the path to the executable so I'm set I think. Thanks!

Profile problems now .exe has been renamed

I am using nvidia 257.21 and they still haven't updated the DCS Black Shark profile to point to Simulator.exe. I have tried to manually set a new profile that points to Simulator.exe but some thing weird has happened and the profile has disappeared and when I try to re add it again, it has a blank name and is not actually created. Odd I know, it probably will mean driver reinstall.... :music_whistling:

Aside from needing to set AA and AF manually, I also use a SLI gfx card setup. After waiting for years (literally) for nvidia to fix the Flickering clouds problem, which they finally did, it is now broken again due to the change of .exe name.

Could some one at ED let nvidia know that they have changed their .exe name for DCS:Blackshark and ask them to update their driver profiles accordingly? I'm sure there are channels for that sort of thing?

Thanks

PS

I dont want to use nHancer, Im not even sure that it could fix the flickering clouds as nvidia could (you could "fix" it, but you'd be disabling part of what would make it run faster).

Specs: GA-Z87X-UD3H, i7-4770k, 16GB, RTX2060, SB AE-5, 750watt Corsair PSU, X52, Track IR4, Win10x64.

....beneath... nHancer wonґt work to this day with any new driver from the 25x.xx series. Update is planed for next month.

Profile vanishing is a possible and know "feature" within the new driverset...

..and... cloud shadow bug wonґt be fixed.... maybe the next engine update will make the change....

While we're talking Nvidia drivers. Anyone have problems with their desktop and games being too big to fit on the screen with the new patch? I'm running my desktop at 1920x1080 (native resolution of my plasma monitor) but I couldn't fully see the task bar on the desktop after updating to the new driver that just came out a couple of weeks ago. The only option was to reduce the resolution a notch. Had to do this in BS and BC2 also so I could see the subtitles. You'd think Nvidia could get something as basic as the resolution to work correctly.

This sounds like classic overscan.

Changing drivers can make TVs/Monitors think they have a new connection.

Check the following:

Nvidia Control Pannel:

Display>Change Resolution:

Check it's on 1920x1080 or 1080p and set to 60hz.

Display>Adjust desktop size and position:

Use NVIDIA scaling with fixed-aspect ratio

TV/Monitor:

Any setting for overscan, it might be called something else.

Regards

Thanks DTWD I'll look at the stuff on your list. Funny thing though is that, for the desktop, a GUI comes up with arrows you slide to shrink or stretch the display - but it shows you the new resolution as a result. I.e. the "shrink" option is just lowering the resolution. And again, it's not just the desktop I had to lower. Each game was too big with the new driver - I had to select the next lower resolution in BS to get the subtitles to fit (1910x1065 or some goofing resolution like that).
