I know this is going to seem stupid but I have no choice but to ask. I have tried to configure my X-52 Pro and I’m getting no where fast. Yes I have gone through the manual and I must be missing something. I’m real sorry to be asking such a dumb question but this lack of info is holding back from enjoy FC 2. Thank you for any help any one can offer.

What info is lacking?

Do you need help with actually using the SST or don't know how to map the buttons?

If it's the former you need to be more specific and if it's the latter keep in mind that a well thought out profile will take time and you won't get anywhere if you would use e.g. my profile since it's tailored to my personal preference.

What did you try to configure and how?

What did you use to configure it, and what would you like to use?

Did you install the latest software AND drivers?

(drivers and profiler software are two different things. You can get both

on the following page;

http://saitek.com/uk/down/drivers.php )

I also recommend signing up on the Saitek forums and browse trough the

X52 section.

Also note that if you have already installed old drivers you will get an corrupted installation if you don't remove the old drivers completely.

There's more to be found about this on the Saitek forum.

All the software and drivers are up to date and installed correctly. I just need help with actually using the menu in the game to apply the differant movements of the controlls. Example, how to apply the movement of the throttle into the game by way of their menu. I find using the SST too confusing now and want to configure in the game controls.

Thank you.

When you're in the Keys configuration window, click AXIS Assign at the bottom. You'll come up to a new window and select the command you want to change, then Move the joystick or throttle in the direction you want the command assigned to.

Set up your pinky switch as a modifier so you can assign two functions to each button.

Also remember if you program "in game" you have to program each aircraft you plan to fly. Pick one AC program it and fly for a while and tweek the settings until you're happy with the button configuration. Then use that basic layout for the rest, makes transitioning from one AC to another easier.

At the dropdown of the configuration box make sure you are picking "axis commands" otherwise the they dont show up under the button configs. You must do this setup for each aircraft.
