guitarwiz1 Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 I'm trying to create a mission with nothing to do except start up, fly around, and land. I can add other aircraft, but when I click fly mission I'm not in my aircraft. What am I doing wrong? I need to practice start up and flying control before I go into battle. I did not buy this sim for the arcade mode so patience is a virtue. Any help or advice would be appreciated. 104th_Crunch Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 You must set the plane you added to 'Player' as you currently have it set to an AI level of skill. Check out your DCS/docs folder for the GUI manual. It is well written and will explain all of this.

104th_Crunch Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 Yes, start on ramp option instead of runway. Make sure the first waypoint is set to takeoff. No need to ask these questions before you read the manual. It's all there.
guitarwiz1 Posted July 18, 2010 Author Posted July 18, 2010 Appreciate the help. It's just a lot of stuff I got to read through, and I'm anxious to get flying. [sIGPIC]http://i227.photobucket.com/albums/dd158/guitarwiz1/OFCguitarwiz1.jpg[/sIGPIC] http://overfortyclan.freeforums.org
Yurgon Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 For the really impatient, there are also lots of training missions out there. Dragon's Trainingpack comes to mind. For the not that much impatient, there are lots of hints about the mission editor. And like Crunch pointed out, the manual should get into all of this in a lot of detail.
