KuostA
FYI, When an aircraft breaks the sound barrier, the "vapor sonic boom" is NOT not something that automatically happens every single time as a given. The vapor you are looking for depends on several more factors, including humidity, altitude, temperate, ect. This would be overwhelmingly complicated and difficult to model into LOMAC. See that's the problem. You're looking at it all wrong. It's a game. The developers should treat it that way. You don't need to model it so detailed, just give it some if statements and pretend it's being modelled. Such as "if (altitude <= 5000 ft) { show effect}. They don't need to model the whole thing according to temperature status, pressure, and what not. Complicated? Difficult? Just the effect itself is, everything else is magic. SUBS17
I think that would be something for the art dudes. You're sort of half right, if you were to model that effect it would be in relation to temperature and humidity + altitude. Not an impossibility, also the vapour effects on the wings in humidity would also be cool. I think eventually flight sims will be able to model such effects as CPUs and graphics cards become more powerful and able to handle such effects.
