It contained a set of Cougar MFD's, have been experimenting with them in BS and so far I really like them... Looking forward to trying them in DCS: Warthog.

I have a set of these and they rock! I mean bloody rock! Tip - dont bother using the software for them - just program them using DCS - much easier. Unless of course you want to use them with multiple aircraft then

- well -

I'm using the game to set them up, I prefer it that way... And yeah they are bloody brilliant.

Staffan, can you provide the link to them on Amazon?

When I search Amazon the return I get seems to indicate there is only one MFD in the pack as opposed to the SimMarket version which has two.

Thanks

There should be two in the pack, I have never heard about them being sold seperately.

Just for comparison, here's the one from Amazon.co.uk I ordered

Thanks Staffan.

It threw me off because the UK site says it's a flight panel duo pack which tells me there are definitely two. But the US site calls it a cockpit panel (singular) and only shows one MFD. The reviews seem to indicate two are in the pack as you say.

Yeah I agree on that, but I haven't heard about them being sold seperatly... Now I'm just waiting for that pesky TM Warthog stick... Nothing beats having a wife that shares your hobbies.... Except for when she naps a model from ones stash and actually *Urk*... starts building it.

Got mine a few weeks ago. They rock. Ive had to go back to Falcon to use them properly though, (till A-10 comes out).

One thing to be careful of though is that you dont overload your USB ports as each MFD chews up 250mA, (1/2 of the available power of each USB HUB).

Once connected, go into device manager --> USB controllers (at the bottom) and double click your "xxx USB HUB" entries. Check the power tab. you may have to do some shuffling between USB ports so you can even out the power draw, remember 500mA per port max or you will get weird drop outs, (you wont damage anything though AFAIK).

Whilst you are in the USB hub page, go to "power msananegent" tab and untick "allow the computer to turn off this device". That played hell with my HOTAS when the PC went into standby.

Have fun!

Alredy made sure that the power for the USB Hubs don't disconnect, got two up and running and have three more lying around (What can I say the store my wife worked in got a load of them, Pleomax, once and I got 5....) I hate loosing my Track IR so I don't let the PC turn off their power.

My trackIR still plays up. I think it draws more power than its letting on. My left MFD sometimes wont wake up either and needs to be unplugged / plugged back in. All power related IMO. I may borrow a powered hub from work and try it out. USB power (from normal ports) has always been feeble and patchy.

All my USB hubs are powered, gives that extra edge.

If you set the MFDs in the game, can you get unshifted and shifted functions so that you have 40 buttons?

Trackir4 using the latest Trackir 5 software, Win10 Pro [Creator Update] updated from Win7Pro Pro 64Bit, Intel® Core™ i5-2500 3.30 GHz 6M Intel Smart Cache LGA115 , GigaByte GA-Z68XP-UD4 Intel Z68 Chipset DDR3 16GB Ram, GTX MSI Gaming 1060 [6 GB] Video Card, Main Monitor 1 on left 1920x1080 Touchscreen Monitor 2 on right 1920x1080 .

Got a pair myself last week, and I can only echo the praise you guys have given them. They work brilliantly with the A-10C as well.

If you could answer this I'd be happy as a clam:

do you use the MFD's to simulate that, tyhe MFD's so that you don't have to rely on mouse and mouse clicks when configuring items and doing switchology?

Yes. I meant 80 buttons, 40 per MFD. I recently saw a PDF of the MFDs for the A-10 in FC2 prepared by a Edward Cobb and they had almost 80 buttons so I was wondering how it was done.

Yes. They are totally plug and play with A-10C, just connect to the PC and start A-10C, the MFDs are automatically set up with a realistic profile to control the MFCDs in the cockpit. Just like Wags said in the sim hq interview. The HOTAS Warthog will work in the same way, 100% plug and play.
