Hmm... wasn't there a rebate deal with TrackIR in the past? :music_whistling: Seems like a dual release with a cross-rebate would be a natural for this one. Given previous release timings, it could be either at the end of September (highly unlikely) or as soon as they can in 4th Quarter, for quarterly corporate accounting purposes. The last thing these folks want to do is release in 2011. Upgrading Flight Sim computers since the Apple ][.

coolts Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 (edited) We are still on producers note #2 right? They are converting to DX11 right? A bundle with TM may make sense down the line but no way will TM delay the Hog for DCS launch. There would be no point economically as they have no competition in as far as comparable HOTAS releases in the pre-xmas window. They will ship ASAP to start recouping dev costs. Besides, if ED "did a Falcon", and rushed DCS:A-10 in a state that needed 6 years of patches to fix, who would we blame? hassata Posted August 27, 2010 Author Posted August 27, 2010 All kidding aside, my guess is mid-November, best case scenario. If it releases 2010, I'll be a happy camper. Also, as Coolts implied, I'd much rather have a polished product later. I remember making almost daily trips to the software stores from the 'firm' release date of August through December for F3, then waiting close to what 15 years after release for a playable version of F4 (being AF). I'm sure the guys in Russia are plugging away. They probably want this thing out the door more than we do. 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
sweinhart3 Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 All speculation of course but mid November to mid December would fit much better to ED's stated 2010 release estimate 'barring no serious delays' Intel i7 990X, 6GB DDR3, Nvidia GTX 470 x2 SLI, Win 7 x64 http://picasaweb.google.com/sweinhart
Steel Jaw Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 (edited) a playable version of F4 (being AF). Bah! AF is a joke among the hardcore Falconeers. Playable versions of Falcon4 had been around years before AF. :smilewink: Edited August 29, 2010 by Mower daamn netbook "You see, IronHand is my thing" My specs: W10 Pro, I5/11600K o/c to 4800 @1.32v, 64 GB 3200 XML RAM, Red Dragon 7800XT/16GB, monitor: GIGABYTE M32QC 32" (31.5" Viewable) QHD 2560 x 1440 (2K) 165Hz.
