I wish we could have that new helmet mounted display. In VR it would be a killer feature. One can hope! Thanks for the link.

Here is an interesting Video on an F-16 cockpit build

That really highlights why it is important to use the proper measurements and not guestimations the first time around. Good find DM, I hope you can get your pit out of storage sooner rather than later.

I'll be spending the next several days to figure out how to convert my A10A throttle to a pc interface friendly C model.

Here is a cool video since we're all posting videos. I think this is why the A-10 cannot be retired. The CAS platform creates a culture and a set of unique values instinct to it specifically. This video exemplifies what it means to be a hog driver.

Converting an A-10A throttle to a C is not that hard unfortunately I can't post a photo essay on the things you need to do. Basically mount some Pots fro both throttle travels and switch the fron right push button with an otto 4 way T4 and a T5 for the Mic switch less than $40.00 each as I remember . A friend printed a new right side grip with a removable right side. Going to look ata maker space tonight may be possible to make some back plates out of aluminum there is any one wants some.

CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.

If your upto it, what would you charge for a photo step by step essay and the printed part required?

I know your just asking just about the part but I would pay extra for instructions with it ;)

I did not print the part and all my parts are a couple of hundred miles away at the moment.SO I can't take pictures at the moment.

I don't understand your second sentence. "I know your just asking just about the part but I would pay extra for instructions with it "

I may have read it wrong but it sounded like you were offering to make the C version of the right side of the throttle. Thats how I read it anway. I was asking, if you were stating that you might offer such a product, would you also offer instructions on how to convert the entire throttle along with the aluminum piece.

You misunderstood I would have been completely explicated about offering a grip. As i was about back plates. Those are for control panels. I don't have a throttle with me I don't have the grip I would need to know what switches you wanted to install. It would be a bit of wok

I was thinking of using the BareDuino Nano (8 Analog, 14 Digital I/O) for some of the less complex panels. The little Arduino board is compact and only cost about $10. It's a real shame all of your images went down since the image hosting website went screwy. Any chance you would repost all of your pictures in a single collect? Its a sad day when so much knowledge is lost and your thread is a goldmine of knowledge. I was rereading the entire thread when I came across some situation where you were going to develop a book, did anything come from that? By the way are you still selling stuff on Shapeway?
