  1. Indeed, many angles to master. lol… It absolutely depends on which level you want to build your pit. Sure, OpenHornet is ‚HiFi‘ , but generally it gives you a good idea of parts and relations. The instrument panels are great templates! Just print them 3D and put them on a board. Easy way. The Electronics are hard to master and - to be honest - I have some headache with their solution. So I‘m going not this way and will chose either FreeJoy or LeoBodnar for buttons and switches. Because of VR, Output (LED, Screens) is currently not of interest for me. That might change in the future. At least just for eyecandiness and though I focus first on structure and inputs. Good luck, buddy!
  2. Have you taken a look at http://openhornet.com ?
  3. As Windows rearranges the Winwing MFDs after each reboot by its own sorting, this tools helps to restore the personal layout faster: https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/multi_monitor_tool.html
  4. You can ripple 4 JDAMs in TOO. As every TOO can store a position for each weapon station, you can preprogram 8 positions (4 for TOO1 and 4 for TOO2): (Default) WPN station 8, switch it to TOO1, select your WP, TXDSG, step WPN to station 2, switch it to TOO1, select your WP, TXDSG, step WPN to station 7, .... (rinse and repeat) After finishing this this, change quantity: box all 4 stations. Make your run. Attention: QTY has to be deselected (unboxed) for all stations before assigning them WPs as TOO! Otherwise you will overwrite the waypiont on the previous station and all stations have the same coordinates.
  5. .. you asked for it. https://openhornet.com
  6. Similar to Arduino, but other chip: You might want to take a look at FreeJoy https://github.com/FreeJoy-Team/FreeJoy
  7. What about these ones: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32819715560.html Can they be used with MMJoy oder FreeJoy?
  8. necro-bump… Since a few days this behavior is back again. How can I get rid of the advert on the bottom? It looks like it is not controlled by a cookie.
  9. Picture is wrong with default to WP09 while being in ATK. Should be TG and TGxx.
  10. Just 13? LB2 up to now is roughly 25 years, I assume. Those were the days…
  11. Hi Red Dog, you might wanna try this solution? It‘s just a LUA-Edit.
  12. May I post a headsup to my solution just using some LUA-Editing? Sure, if anyone really wants to built it with hardware, this won‘t help.
  13. Yes, contact is closed, when pushed and you can pull it to OFF (open the contact) - like we do it in the Hornet.
  14. I used these ones: https://aliexpress.com/item/32917612962.html Sure, they will not pop out, but they can be used as a 'pull switch'.
  15. Maybe you can use this as the basic design and expand it to your needs: http://www.62ndfightingfalcons.com/62-abc-cockpit.html
  16. Import STL in F360. Then right click on the body on the tree to the left. Function: Mesh to Brep -> New Component. Volià: Editable 3D object. Depending on the unit of the source model and your currently active units you may have to scale the imported or new created body.
  17. ok. Sounds good! Thank you for your fast answer.
  18. Good catch! But it looks like that stepper does not have a 'reset pin'. How did you manage it to rset the needles before a new startup sequence? Just by coding?
  19. DED/PFL has 5 lines... You may want so consider another approach using an OLED? Example: https://scoptronics.com/products/oled-displays/3-2-inch-oled-display/
  20. Oh? Ok... I'll give it a try. Up 'til now I thought F18 can only manage 2 targets in TWS. Thx!
  21. How would you achieve that in our F18 as we only have L&S and DT2? Seems that with the TWS of a F16 it could be done, but 'we' in F18? No idea...
  22. If any display has HSI, SA or EWR visible and is SOI: SCS towards that display should cycle through HSI, SA, EWS. Currently SCS cycles only through HSI and SA.
  23. Go with the AMPCD (F18]. What is missing can (mostly) be put into the display frame. And by using Helios you can program a kind of menu for this display: Depending on the pressed OSB you can bring up different gauges or other things which won't fit anywhere else. Or mimic the CPD of the F16 Blk 60. That way you'll have a suitable display for Ka50 ABRIS - if that is of interest for you: https://www.ainonline.com/sites/default/files/uploads/2014/08/webelbit-f-16-upgrades.jpg
  24. oof.. sounds not promising... Another chip a buddy suggested is the VID66-06. https://guy.carpenter.id.au/gaugette/resources/vid/2009111391612_VID6606%20manual%20060927.pdf May the same like the AX1201728SG, just with another label. But maybe worth a try.
