Did you checked out the zip attached to the first post? I see 2 files in there.

Yeah, the zip contains a SFJackBauer A-10C.lua and ViewsStatus.xml

EDIT: nvm, for some reason winrar didnt extract it the first time...

Thanks! :D

Hi Jack

Many thanks for the updated X52 profile, your hard work is much appreciated :thumbup:

A few of questions please :-

Although I use TrackIR, I still also use the zoom function to pick out targets on the ground - do you use the default keyboard keys.

Which keys do you use for TrackIR 'pause' and 'center' I previously had these set to T5 and T6 on the X52

I have loaded both your files correctly as per your instructions but I can't seem to get the Ministick 'slew' to work, everything else seems OK including the speedbrake. Any idea what I may be doing wrong :cry:

Edit : Ignor question three, I have just realised I re-assigned the slew keys to the 'arrow' keys. Can anyone tell me what the default slew keys are please, so I can re-assign them to default.

; = HOTAS Slew up

. = HOTAS Slew down

, = HOTAS Slew left

/ = HOTAS Slew right

I used to have my zoom mapped to slider but the jumping was unbearable. I use default / * for zoom now.

Jack,

I don't like the radio set up now (sorry), I found it much more intuitive using the switch on throttle, how can I revert to this? Via GUI control or Saitek CP?

You would do that in the DCS GUI. "HOTAS Mic Switch Aft", "HOTAS Mic Switch Forward" etc.

Hey GAJ52,

Although I use TrackIR, I still also use the zoom function to pick out targets on the ground - do you use the default keyboard keys.

In Blackshark I used a lot the Z-axis of TrackIR as Zoom - now I dont change zoom often given the TGP. But when I need I do use the numpad / and * keys to zoom.

Which keys do you use for TrackIR 'pause' and 'center' I previously had these set to T5 and T6 on the X52

You can easily use T5 and T6 for TrackIR, just go ahead and modify the Saitek profile. I use a weird keyboard combination since I dont need often to pause or center TrackIR.

@Cibit

Regarding the mic switch, no problem, use the profile as a baseline and modify as you wish. I realized that I needed to use the full CMS functionality, and for that its necessary a 4-way POV. I also don't like the idea of accidentaly triggering the CMS, thats why I left it alone in the throttle hat without secondary commands with pinky.

When I activate this profile I hear the windows repeat sound off. When I go to my start n's start typing into the search bar and they just keep going. Any ideas on this?

I can use any of my FSX profiles and they work fine along with Falcon 4 profiles. Whenever I activate Jack's my system starts acting weird and n's start popping up in editable boxes ( i.e. windows start, chrome address bar....etc )

Its the slider in the throttle - leave it in the center position while not flying :).

Finally a profile that works ... EXCEPT

Now I have lost the trackir axis in my controller settings?

The keyboard is mapped, and my x-52, but I do not even have a TrackIR column anymore , and as such cannot use it!

I have deleted the game and all folders , complete reinstall. Same issue.

:(

As I have read, it is as if there is a hidden config file somewhere that I cannot find !

Further to the above

When editing sometimes I will find the joystick column might dissapear as well, or the keyboard column.

Only way to fix this is to delete all the config files and reload fresh.

Hey Sappo, I have only seen that when, at the moment I open DCS, either the joystick or TrackIR are not connected or disabled. Then the column disappears. Anyway I dont think its a problem of my profile itself, since it deals only with the assignments of a single controller.

Check your USB connections of the trackIR and joystick. Is the TrackIR blue light on when you open up the sim?

:doh:

doh...

the track-ir portion of your reply makes total sense, since I usually take off my hat when not doing in-game type things.

However I have lost my column for the Saitek once before when screwing around with loading profiles, so lord only knows on that one! (x52 stays plugged in all zee time)

But again thanks for making a profile, saves me boat loads of time (as I am sure you can relate)

The issues I was having are kinda annoying, but just sort of worked themsleves out after bashing the program into submission :book:

Anyone know how I could program the 3 MFD buttons on the throttle control? (X52 Non pro ) I have looked in the SST software but cannot find it. I want to set them for TARS.

EDIT: Nevermind I found it. You have to edit the .pr0 file and add 3 lines under buttons section.

[button=0x0009001B name=UHF]

[button=0x0009001C name=VHF AM]

[button=0x0009001D name=VHF FM]

Thanks,

Thanks for the profile.

I think mine isn't working correctly. I don't get the alternate functions when I hold down the pinky switch.

I looked in the SST software but it doesn't look like there is anything setup. From reading previous posts I understand you set most of this up in the in-game options, but mine isn't working.

Anyone know how to fix this or where to look to fix?

At the Options->Controls screen there should be a button called "Modifiers" in lower-left corner. Check if JOY_BTN6 is listed there as a modifier.

Are you using the plain X-52 or X-52 pro?

Im having the same problem with the pinky switch, I do see Joy_button6 listed as a modifier,im using a regular x-52 myself. The older profile worked fine, so not sure what happened. :/

I'm running the regular X52.

6.2.2.2 driver, 6.6.6.9 SST

What's the newest version?

Intel i5 13600 cpu // Gigabyte z790 Aorus Elite AX // 64GB RAM // RTX4070ti // VKB Black Mamba MkIII // Warthog Throttle // TFRP Pedals // Rift S

driver version: 6.0.4.1

SST Version: 9.9.9.9

Thanks for your help Jack

I'm using the same as you.

Are you guys running in sim mode or game mode? Since the key mappings are different.

Otherwise I'm at loss. I can see the modifiers in the controls screen and they work here. Perhaps try to reset the mappings and load again?

Last night I went and reloaded the LUA and PRO files and now everything magically works!!

I must have goofed something up inadvertently. Thanks for your help Jack, sorry it led to a goose chase.

Thanks so much for sharing this profile, very intuitive, and if I can learn it, anyone can :pilotfly:

Everything works for my buddy except the speed brake and the pinky switch. He put the .pr0 in the right spot and loaded the .lua correctly. Any ideas?

He must not only put the pr0 in the right directory, but load the pr0 in the saitek profiler (tray icon besides Windows clock) before loading the sim.
