Laser Bombs

In reading the Manual, it mentions Laser Bombs being used with the Laser designator panel.

It mentions Kh-25ML, Kh-29L or laser bombs can be used.

 

I could see Kh-25ML and Kh-29L being launched off the wings of the Ka-50

But I couldn't find any laser bombs on the Loadout screen

 

Set me in the right direction - would I be able to use the Laser Designator for the laser bombs?

All I see is dumb bombs

You would laser the target for a bomber.

Is this possible to achieve in the game? Would make a nice mission where you have to laser the target for a precision bomb, dropped by an high flying aircraft.

That was going to be my next question -

otherwise it's just the Kh-25ML and Kh-29L that can be used with the Laser Designator - and I will test those too

From which bomber? SU-25T? Is that possible in MP (with FC2 and BS combination)? That would be awesome!!

The AI is most likely too stupid to use the player's laser designator I would think...:(

There's no "DCS standard" aircraft that would drop something compatible with the Ka-50's laser designator codes I'm afraid. Maybe the A-10, no idea.

Not likely considering that one is Eastern and one is Western, but you never know. Furthermore, maybe even if it's not possible IRL, ED might drop us an easter egg and allow us to buddy lase for A-10s with the Ka-50. Considering that I'm flying the Ka-50 supporting US forces against Russians in alot of missions, that would probably make the experience MORE realistic.
