Ells228 Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 What timings can you get starting from cold on the ramp using the quick startup method as per the training session and my procedure checklists? (this is also good training to get used to the cockpit layout) Checklists: http://www.veao.eu/dcs_a10/DCS_A10_Quick_Startup_Procedure.docx Here is my first attempt: APU start 40 seconds L engine start 1.08m R regine start 2.02m APU off 2.44m Bit test start 3.04m Bit test finish 4.19m Taxi out 4.57m So from cold to taxi out in just under 5 mins, I think that would be ok'ish for a quick reaction alert? Shut down is 2 mins 9 seconds from start to canopy open which is my finish point. Good luck
HungaroJET Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 Link doesn't work for me. Yep, Same :helpsmilie: Atop the midnight tarmac, a metal beast awaits. Ells228 Posted October 8, 2010 Author Posted October 8, 2010 (edited) Do you have Microsoft Word installed - probably why it doesn't like it. I'll try and pdf it instead Edit >> Try this: http://www.veao.eu/dcs_a10/DCS_A-10_Quick_Startup_Procedure.zip Edited October 8, 2010 by Ells228
Blaze Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 Startup: 3:28 Shutdown: 0:55 Although, I didn't follow your checklist. My startup procedure varies just slightly every time, but it's mostly from the startup training, and the rest is just what works for me. :) i7 7700K | 32GB RAM | GTX 1080Ti | Rift CV1 | TM Warthog | Win 10 "There will always be people with a false sense of entitlement.
