Yoni63 Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 I agree on TM not doing something there. There is a small control at the base of the TM stick that can be assigned for rudder, but then your taking your hand off the throttle to use rudder, not realistic at all plus a pain in the tush. I don't have pedals and currently using a Logitech extreme and it's way past needing replacing. Any input on the stick results in at least some kind of erroneous rudder input due to it being worn. hog_driver111th Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 slightly old on this thread, but maybe a hint for some with the warthog. I'm not sure if this is possible, but for the cougar, I had the antenna rotator knob as my pedals which worked very well over the last few years. I now have the Saitek pedals which helps to make it more real. LawnDart Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 I will make it my personal mission to keep pushing for new rudder pedals from TM. I know they're listening... (and thinking about it). ;) I've said we need new rudder pedals for years, it's just very evident ATM. mrmac Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 for all those future rudder pedals designers since there's obviously and open and hungry market out there i got one word for you :ergonomy forget about how they will look down there with the dust bunnys and think very hard about the fact that flight simers spend hours flying ; these things need real resistance. sim pilot (i think) should be able to rest the weight of is legs on the pedals without giving input to the rudders i'm talking about coils and absorbers i tried and owned ch and saitek pedals and went back to twisting the stick on my saitek x-52 pro for rudder my favorite rudder was on my old saitek x-45 (on the throttle) tm should have copied that insted of ..... i would pay the hefty 500 us anytime for the tm warthog but rightnow my sparetime is share between the warthog and the blackshark and the black shark needs a serious rudder controler ed; congratulations for those mindblowing sims i'm a real fan and please somebody design or direct me towards a rudder system worthy of the tm warthog (because i will eventually buy it)
jazjar Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 Well now some of you said you had them shipped to the U.S, well, where is the site you got them from? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
hassata Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 Buy a gameport to USB converter on e-bay.other warthog only for the rudders. They are widely spaced and very confortable, and will have toe brakes. I bought this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0009PXKZ8/ref=oss_product Didn't work with my hall sensor modded RCS, or my stock Elites. Going to try plugging into a Cougar base tonight. A forum member did have luck with the above adapter, though. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

El_Roto Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 Another SimPed purchaser here. I ordered mine 11/9 and DHL put.them on the boat 11/23; I should have them first week of Dec. I thought long and hard about the new Saitek pedals but decided I wanted something that was currently available-if you can call waiting a month for your pedals "available". ;) I've read nothing but great stuff about the SimPeds and am very confident in my decision. Bear with me and I'll be sure to post a review. hassata Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 I think i have bought another model if it works i ll let you know , but what didn t work ? Spikes ? With the Elite, it was reading at all; with the RCS, it would go from full left to spiking full right. I ran the RCS through the Cougar (w/out throttle) and that is working great. DCS picks it up as the Cougar Z Axis. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
