I like how it sounds, and coming from multiple sources, it sounds pretty accurate. Now I do understand using a sample, or a variety of samples might not work as you don't know how long the player might hold the trigger for..but there has to be a way around it, they did it on Arma2 and it sounds (feels) freekin good. Other than that loving what I see from A10 so far..

ryke Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 The sound is different when listening from external behind the plane as opposed to in front of it. When you viewing a target and after the rounds impact you hear the nice burrrrrp a few seconds later. It is truly awesome sounding. For some reason the external behind sound is a little strange, but that's not what you hear in the pit or on the receiving end.

Arma2 has this aspect of the sounds involved in shooting superssonic bullets/shells very well done. That's why their A-10 gun run sounds so different and more acurate. I was curious if the real GAU8 needs some spool up time or not before firing?

This is called the "Doppler Effect". If your really want to compare those gun sounds you must have a static sound source... Anyway, I think they will improve the current beta gun sound later...
