  1. I tried to record a different track, with the new version, with Mirage F1 in a pretty heavy CAP+ Strike mission. That one was messed up too. In replay it all goes wrong and the plane just crashes very early. I think .trk files are not capturing enough info to ensure repeatability, in replay. In Il-2 we used .NTRK files and those save more info and are more reliable. I wish DCS team would make a benchmark mission, that everyone can try. Something like that "Black death" in the original Il-2.
  2. Thank you for the track and benchmarking procedure. I tried your track but the plane crashed as soon as you selected the first weapons. It also didn't use your views in replay. It just sat inn the cockpit view. Maybe we needs a track made with the latest version of the game. I ran it anyway up to that point, butt I used 1440p resolution as it's my native resolution and the monitor can't do 4k. The faster one is with the multithreading exe.
  3. Hey Zaelu! Yeah that x45 has some serious mileage. I'm fine. ...Have you seen viruses in the bottle of whiskey? :D BTW. I just noticed they added the refueling probe, so I fixed the skin. I also cleaned up some left over Chinese markings from the roughmet. You can re download it and replace the original. Here's the link: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3307325/
  4. Hello again. It looks like the latest update brought back the green windscreen and the opaque gunsight. Was this intentional, or it's just some bug? Thank you!
  5. The JF-17 dressed as a fictional IAR-95, in very similar colors is up for download: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3307325/
  6. I think it's in the right orientation. This is 1604 doing an in flight refueling and you can see the number in the same orientation: Here's ther refueling video:
  7. Back in the seventies and eighties, Romania tried, without success, to build a supersonic fighter. They were building, locally designed, ground attack IAR-93s, IAR-99 trainers, licence built French helicopters, a British airliner and a bunch of locally designed small civilian planes. Armed with this experience and with strong distrust towards Soviet Union after the invasion of Czechoslovakia, they decided to build a supersonic fighter. The project started in-1974 and went by many names, IAR-95, IAR-95 Spey, IAR-S. Many configurations have been thought out,, both single and tween engine versions. Initially the project was supposed to use the engine from the Mig-23 (Tumansky R-29-300), but they couldn't get licence. Then they, naively, tried to buy licence for the British Spey engine, that was powering the British F-4s, but couldn't get that one either, so the project was cancelled. Later, in 1989, right before the Revolution, they restarted the project, with the idea to use the the engine on the Mig-29 (Klimov RD-33), that just became operational in Romania. The revolution came and the new "leaders" dismantled most of the local industry and put an end to he project. Not only did they cancelled the project, but also chopped up all the local built IAR-93's so they can buy second or third hand crap from the west, for far bribes. Some people are saying that iar-95 blueprints were sold to China and may have in some way influenced the FC-1/ JF-17 project, but that's speculation. Either way, the recently introduced JF-17 looks somewhat similar to the IAR-95 from some angles, and that was good enough excuse for me to make a IAR-95 skin for it. :D Download link: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3307325/ (extract into your JF-17 liveries folder) IAR-95: and my wannabe :D : upload an image
  8. Agree. Please add a JF-17 skins section. Thank you.

  10. Thank you! :) I just did a JF-17 in a similar paint scheme, as a fictional IAR-95. Should be active soon.
  11. here are my game settings. Nvidia control center settings and Game settings hope it helps.:)
  12. Thank you! I'm away from home now. I can't check my settings. I know I run at 2560×1440 and I think I pushed all the sliders to the max, but I can't take a screenshot of the settings until I get back, in a week or so. Sorry. Btw. Supersampling is the best form of antialiasing, but affects performance hard. Experiment with that, see how far you can push it.
  13. My first DCS skin. Romanian Air Force F-16C MLU serial number 82-0904, tail number 1601. It's one of the first F-16s to join ROAF. Download link: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3306691/ and some screenshots: free image uploader
  14. Sorry if this bug was posted before, just want to make sure. The armored glass in the windscreen of the FW-190 was not colored. It was clear glass made by Carl Zeiss, the same company that made and is still making sights and optics. There was no green tint in it. Just plain white clear glass. I had a photo of the windscreen of a FW-190 that crashed in Norway, after it was recovered (FW-190 F8 White One) and it was just clear glass without any kind of color, UV filter, or tint. I was looking for it all over my backup drive and didn't find it, but i have few more photos of original armored glass from German ww2 fighters: As you can see, there's no green tint in this glass. Just pure glass. No tint, no UV filter, No color. Just clear glass. Some of the restored aircraft that you can see in museums, and even the flying A5, were restored with modern bullet proof glass and have a green tint, but it's because this is modern laminate with UV filter and plastic inserts. It's not the same thing. They used what they could get. FW-190 had just clear glass, Here are a few screenshots that show the in game model and that green windscreen is out of place in a historical model. Please clear the glass in the A8. Thank you.
  15. Absolutely agree with the green tint. It's wrong and i can't see crap out of it. The armored glass for the FW-190 was made by CARL ZEISS and it was clear glass, not green. The revi 16 may have had a very slight tint, buty not the windscreen. that one was just clear, high quality glass. I have a bunch of DCS planes, (i think I'm missing five), and from the ones i have, I think the FW-190 A8 is the worst model in DCS so far. modeling the plane after photos of some wreck, in a dark museum, with poor artificial lighting, will give the modelers the wrong image of the plane.
  16. Anyway. here's a photo of a real 190 from a museum that shows what a dramatic difference that armored glass makes in dropping the view through the windscreen. Look at the the bulges above the machine guns, on the cowling. See how low is the right one, compared to the left one, because is seen through the armored glass? I also have issues with the green armor glass. It's way too green. That armor glass was made by Carl ZEIS!!!!!! It's a lens. Another bug introduced by museum wrecks with wrong cockpit glass.
  17. Sorry for the late replay. Will try that when i get home next week. Thank you very much!
  18. Thank you for your help. I tried that but it doesn't work. I still get JPG screens for some reason.
  19. Hello. I had DCS/LOMAC for like 15 years and i forgot how i can get the game to save the screenshots in bitmap format. I may have changed some settings along the way and now it saves them in JPG and they suck. All the cool beauty is gone. Anyone knows how i can get my bitmaps back?:) Thank you for your help.
  20. Hey thanks man! I wasn't aware of it. This is great news.
  21. Great job Puma! Man how much more refined is the damage model in clod.
