Hello Folks,

I was really excited about the start up sequence however when started playing the campain and other missions i found out that they all start with the Chopper's engines running and ready to take off... is there a way to start the missions with the engines off in order to initiate start sequence by myself?

regards,

Ralph :helpsmilie:

The single player mission named "shooting range" starts with all systems off.

You can edit the campaign missions in the mission editor, but that means you have to edit them all seperately. I do not think it is possible to edit one specific file to have all missions use cold starts.

well, you could cheat and shut down , then cold start, if your landed. If you're hovering, you may want to land ;)

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

Look at the main DCS web site, files for a different version of the GOW campaign where the maximum number of missions are set for cold start. Some are still hot start due to timing issues in the mission but the rest are cold.

Basically what Razor said but someone's already done it for you.
