SandMartin Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 Hello all. In russia everybody who can spend ~13.000 USD can fly in rio seat on the Mig-29UB about half of hour. Mig is not cheap plane (new cost about 20.000.000 usd). So idea is find place (if it is in earth), where I can fly on real supersonic fighter\trainer. I know what T-38 Talon is cheapes supersonic trainer in the world, (price about 1-2.000.000 USD), so one flight on it may be most cheaper than on MIG. Maybe in the U.S. there is a place where you can flight on T-38 for money ? Zulu Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 Well there was a place in Cape Town, South Africa called Thunder City where one could fly in a Lightning,Bucceneer or Hunters but sadly you are a bit late as it had its license revoked early this year following the outcome of an investigation into a crash one of the Lightnings had in 2009 To INVENT an Airplane is Nothing. Avilator Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 I think the Collings Foundation offers rides on their F-4 and A-4. I only respond to that little mechanical voice that says "Terrain! Terrain! mig29movt Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 (edited) In switzerland you can fly in Hawker Hunter or Mirage III but it's also around 12'000 $ But I once read half of this is already fuel cost so you probably won't get it cheaper somewhere... But in switzerland you fly through the swiss alps and you can even meet with some of our F/A-18C Hornets and /or F-5E Tigers: http://www.clindailes.ch/downloads/opv_infos_vols_en.pdf Wow a 45 min trip is even 7000 CHF (which is also about 7000$)! Just saw them today =) but it's not allowed to go supersonic Edited October 15, 2010 by mig29movt [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Waiting to build a F/A-18C home-pit... ex - Swiss Air Force Pilatus PC-21 Ground Crew SFM?
