bojote Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 16 x 1080 / 1920 = 9. Hence 16:9 HTH 16:9 or 16:10 are simply minimun representations of aspect ratios. Simply DIVIDE the resolution and it will give you the 'exact' aspect ratio, so for example: 1920 / 1080 = 1.777777777777778 16 / 9 = 1.777777777777778 the lowest fraction you can use to represent 1.777777777777778 is 16/9
