This may be the case as the wheels seem to withstnad e.g. an emergency landing on a road (which is more bumpy than the airstrip) but tend to fail on proper airfields. It may well be how the surface is "interpreted" by the wheels at highter/certain speeds...

Well, I've only been REALLY flying over Nevada so far. I had a few flights over Main Theater but not as many as over USA so I guess it's just Groom and Nellis AFB for me...

I had a slightly strange problem which may be related to this - when I was taking off on the Shooting Gallery mission, I merely touched the stick in a rearwards direction then there was a loud crunch noise and the plane leapt off the runway pretty much vertically to about 200'. I then noticed that only the rear-wheel lights were on in the gear display. I ignored it and flew the mission anyway but the landing wasn't pretty ...

... though in fairness none of my landings have been that pretty yet :)

I have not had this in Smerch Hunt or any of the other missions though I have had minor variations on the crunch in Shooting Gallery.

Yes, that's how the nose wheel gets ripped off on my track. Loud BAM and the nose goes "vertical"... :) Must be the "Taliban micro-explosives" planted in my nose landing gear... Bastards...

I did a "test" flight last night in the Nevada map and when I took off I heard someting go "whaaap" -- didn't see any damage and the LG Lights were GREEN ... however when it was time to land -- Nose wheel was stuck in the wheelwell... nice landing on the mains and the sparks on the nose was intense.

I'm losing nose gears like crazy too. I keep as much weight off as i can as the airspeed picks up, nws off at 50-60, couple seconds later...BANG!! Like an invisible speed bump. Either I lose nose gear and crash, or it breaks and won't retract. It's happened at multiple airports on the eastern map, haven't tried Nellis yet. It's bugged and won't open for me now.

But at least the canopy switch works...

I managed to get my left wheel stuck today, at takeoff, right after having a nosewheel stuck takeoff. I tried to compensate with a little stick back, but where punished with a hanging left wheel.

Do the odds of stuck wheels get higher if you are close too 100% loadout weight?

In addition to the nosewheel issue in Nevada, is anybody also encountering slow excelleration? feels like the wheel brakes are partially on then because of the slow excelleration either run out of runway or nosewheel fails.
