Arcturus323 Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 Just wanted to say I love this A-10c Sim. I was wondering if there was a way to reload or rearm weapons at the base. (like in L.O.M.A.C) Thanks for the help. Arcturus323 Posted October 31, 2010 Author Posted October 31, 2010 Weapon Reload. I was looking through the Communications menus and I did find a Grounds Crew menu where they will rearm your plane. I just found it but haven't tested to see if it works. I hope this helps. Or we really have to wait for updated beta. dave4002000 Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 The ground crew will communicate with you and will tell you "Re-Arming complete"...but nothing gets added to your aircraft. recoil17 Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 (edited) I searched the forums and couldn't find an answer. In BETA 3 I was able to land and re-arm my plane on the tarmac but I couldn't figure out how to update the inventory or the DSMS page. I know how to reload individual weapons but is this the only way to re-arm the whole aircraft? I know how to reset the cannon ammo count but I wasn't sure if the aircraft could auto-detect which weapons are on which stations. I don't know my weapons good enough to select each store class, type, etc. one-by-one. EDIT: I also scanned through the manual and didn't see anything on this, besides individual store inventory. MainSail Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Rearming at a airbase in Beta 3 works. No problems with rearming. Win10-X64, I5,-8600K oc-4,8Ghz, 16GB DDR4, MSI RTX 2080ti, HOTAS Warthog, MFG crosswind pedals, KW-908 Jetseat , HTC Vive with lens mod.
recoil17 Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Rearming at a airbase in Beta 3 works. No problems with rearming. Right. I was able to re-arm multiple times. I even watched them remove a store to replace it with a new store after I changed my loadout. The problem is actually updating the DSMS page for the new inventory. After reloading, the DSMS still showed empty stores. I can re-arm them one by one but I can't see under my plane to see what stores are on stations 4,5,6,7 and 8. Just trying to see the proper way to re-arm and re-load the inventory. Temporarily set one MFD to the DTS Upload Page and then reload all (Hold one OSB of the bottom row).
recoil17 Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Temporarily set one MFD to the DTS Upload Page and then reload all (Hold one OSB of the bottom row). I thought of this but wouldn't that load the stores assigned at the beginning of a mission? What if I change my inventory to something else? Also, in the multiplayer game I had this problem in, I reloaded my aircraft with the "MISSION" loadout under the comms menu, but I don't think it loaded the same payload I started with. I'm not positive, I couldn't go to an external view to double check. Steel Jaw Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Please advise the PROCESS for requesting a rearm. Do I need to mess with the intercom settings or simply use the radio, and does the radio need to be set a certain freq? recoil17 Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 No it won't. I already did this a couple of times, in both SP and MP ;) Rearming with a different loadout that is. awesome, thank you. MOWER: I don't know the proper process but I've done it in both easy and hard comms. I just open the comms menu, select ground crew, and request re-arm. I never messed with an intercom or anything else. I do believe I used the AM VHF radio and it was adjusted to the airport I was parked at. Not sure if that makes a difference. It must be a WIP still because I believe the manual stated something about using the intercom to contact the ground crew but I haven't don it that way, yet. Frederf Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 One absolutely joyous thing I've noticed about ramp rearms is that the options are from your PERSONALLY CUSTOMIZED load profiles. YEsSSSsSssss. No more of the 8 presets from the DCS:BS days.
Mugenjin Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Oh and don't forget to reset the ammo counter in the HUD menu after rearming, otherwise it won't update although the ammo for the GAU-8 was replenished =D
