Please, can anyone tell me how to export one MFCD image to a second monitor. I'm completely new to this and would like to test options for a new build (pit) None of the threads seem to exaplin in simple terms (for new people) how to do it. Including setting monitors in win (vista) and which files to edit. My primary screen is 1920 x 1080. I have another monitor on the left of my main set at 1024 x 768.

For the time being I would just liike to know how to do it with this set up. Then when I understand I can try with two secondary monitors... can anyone help, please... I would be very grateful :) Thanks. BTW Simmeters are developing mechanical flight instruments for DCS A10C (I spoke to their dev chap today) I will update when I know more..

Search the forums. There are people doing it now, but its not officially supported in the Beta.

In all fairness, I haven't seen what he's asking for and would like to see it myself. There's no step by step guide to adding a small 7-8" monitor for an MFCD. Most/all of the threads are either only part of the story or base assumptions on knowning the process from DCS:BS.

Add another one who'd love a simple guide (even if it pertains to BS since this isn't officially supported by the beta).

1. Make a copy of DCS A-10C Beta/Config/MonitorSetup/LMFCD+Camera+RFMCD.lua and open it in a plain text editor.

2. Give the config a new name by editing the line: "name = _('MFCD');"

3. Fiddle with the rest of the file ...

4. In DCS, under Options, there is a setting where you can choose "1 Camera", "3 Cameras", with some other choices. One of those choices will be your new file (using the name you gave it in step 2).

I've had success with this in getting the MFCDs to display across a TH2Go setup, but the computer really treats that as one monitor. I haven't had any luck at getting them to display on a secondary video port, yet. My results range from a black screen (but with the cockpit cursor), to everything working just fine, only not showing that I want on the separate monitor.

Check out the threads for Black Shark ... same idea. Lots of good info.

These two threads might help.

This first thread is one that I started in the Multi-monitor section of the Open Beta forum asking for specific help on the exporting of the MFD's to two additional monitors.

This thread is an exceptional tutorial on what you need to do to export the MFD's to a second monitor and a great explanation of the coordinates to position the images on the second screen.

After working with both of those, here is my result.
