edit: solved, had to deinstall TARS first.

I think what may be going on here, at least partly, is directory security on the Teamspeak 3 and Eagle Dynamics folders in Windows 7. It can't be helped; TARS Control Panel has to be able to get to those folders. So either run the TARS Control Panel as admin, or give your user access to those directories. I prefer the former.

Fixed it.

Seems like TARS recognizes what TS3 your using, 32 bit or 64 bit. But installs 64bit dll if you have win7 64 bit installed. Doesn't matter what version of teamspeak you are running.

First reinstall was with the default client you get on the first page on teamspeak.com, which is a 32 bit client. That didn't work. Checked the dll file in the plugins folder in the teamspeak3 folder, had a 64 bit dll file.

Uninstalled again, downloaded 64 bit, installed everything all over again, TARS included, now I was able to activate the TARS plugin in teamspeak.

But the strange part is that I had 32 bit Teamspeak installed before I updated everything, and it worked fine.

Looks like you've identified a small bug. I've already fixed it. The download on the site will be updated tonight or tomorrow night.

It seems to be limited to people who want to run 32 bit teamspeak on their 64 bit OS.

Headspace, I've got tars working normally. But I don't seem to have left and right channel switch options working. Everything's coming through on both channels.

I have a logitech g35 usb surround sound headset. could that be the problem? i get left and right for everything else.

Cant seem to get mine working. To be sure i uninstalled TARS and TS3, including their folders. Reinstalled TS3 64 bit, then TARS and checked that the files are all in the right place from the deploy folder. Everything is fine there, in TS3 TARS is checked on along with the correct architecture DLL and i can even see other people in channel using TARS and their freqs. But if i start up DCS it never sees it, even when im in the pit it still says not running for me. :(

Im stumped.

If you are reading TARS status in Teamspeak 3 but DCS isn't connecting, then it's an export or firewall issue. You might also have other export mods installed that do not play nice with other mods.

Only other thing i have installed is iControl DCS which since i got a trackir i havent used that much. Anyway to get a fresh export.lua? It dosent seem to regenerate if its missing.

edit:also tacview but dont see much of that in the export

Aha, digging through the export.lua it seems that somehow one of the

end

tags had gotten taken off and the statements for TARS were getting wrapped up into another function. Added the missing end and off it goes, thanks to Notepad++ for making it obvious that the function continued to the bottom of the file.

Mmm, I tried assigning the Warthog throttle radio button to radio freqs, but if I start TS while having the throttle not plugged, TS crashes. Can this be fixed, or am I forced to always plug the warthog before ?

Find your crash logs in my documents from TS3 and send them to me.

Headspace...I'm heading out for the evening but 9 of us in the 25th were flying an IQT evaluation sortie and TS kept locking up and crashing. I'll check and upload my logs tomorrow AM EST.

For you or for everyone?

I hate releasing right after TS3 has also updated to a new version, but sometimes it is necessary.

Twice for me and it happened at least once to 4 other pilots

Logs are going to be critical then, and from the more people the better...especially the TS3 crash log in the My Documents folder.

EDIT...

And to illustrate the point, I've determined what was going on with Disablez by analyzing his crash dump--thanks Disablez. For now you're going to need to keep your devices plugged in while TS3 is running but I am including the fix in the next batch of fixes. I want to spend a bit of time gathering more data.

Ok, thanks again. Unfortunately I can confirm we've experienced with beta 11 and 14 these same TS problems the 25th guys are having (becomes unresponsive, need to force-close or we're not heard anymore at random...). I cannot provide a useful log atm (Just that we play A-10C with TS x64) , but I will try to do so.
