WarriorX Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Hi EvilRooter, welcome to the forums! I have the simped F16 cougar version, (the rudders are connected thru the base of my Cougar Joystick) and I have to set up a program in foxy that programs the toe brakes to the corresponding keys in DCS A10C. Foxy runs independently from DCS A10C and sends keystrokes to the game. Now I know you probably dont use Foxy, as your running USB, Im gonna need some more info to help you out, so what Joystick are you running? What software are you using to program it? What OS? I assume you have tried going in to Options/Controls and seeing if DCS A10C "see's" the Simped Rudders, does it? (Look for a column named after the pedals) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] "Is that you John Wayne?.......Is this me?" Dimebag1 Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Just curious, does dcs a-10c have axes for allowing differential braking or is it like fc with a single key to brake? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
sobek Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Just curious, does dcs a-10c have axes for allowing differential braking or is it like fc with a single key to brake? Differential. The Plane can be steered with it when NWS is off. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
Frederf Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Currently the differential braking is bugged in A-10C. The input reports smoothly and the RCtrl-Enter readout shows smooth differential brake application. However any application beyond 0% for any given pedal results in an apparent 100% brake effect applied.

I have the usb version and got mine to work but I had to calibrate it in windows in a rather unconventional way. (Look for a column named after the pedals) Thanks for the welcome, great community you have all created here. Basic issue is I cannot in see toe brakes working, there is no calibration program and the toe brake "axis" does not register in A10 controller setup menu. OK some details. Joytick is Warthog HOTAS Rudder Pedals: Simped F16 / toe brake USB version OS: Win 7 64 No programming software is being used. I have latest version of target installed but am not using it as its not required for A10. DCS A10 does see the rudder pedals and the steering function does work. Here is snap shot of USB setup in device manager. And the control setup options in A10.

Would love to hear about your "unconventional way" :) of doing this? pls
