been asking for help since monday no one help me

hello i dont know why i join this forum to get help and my posts are moved dosent any body here help any body here all iam asking is i cant get a-10c to work i payed 59.00 for it and sitting here doing nothingif u dont want to help help me i get my money back i wrote to support they are worthless i will ask one more time i down load a10c beta 3 that what u down load online here now the problem i don tknow what bin file goes with it and when i go to install a window comes up saying the bin file missing and i have a bin file in the folder with the setup exe the question if someone will plese help me how do i get it to install with bin file they wont open i keep getting bin file not in folder and wont let me install i ask this on this forum since monday and been ingored or my post moved i dont want to put a stop on my credit card for the money i want to play the game is there step u have to take to get the files to work thank u

The very first thing you should do is arrange access to the beta forums then review that first link I posted for some of your answers. :)

It's common practice for the forum moderators to merge threads about the same thing to keep the forums easier to navigate.

 

In Windows explorer, go to the Tools menu (if you're on Vista/Win7 you might need to hold the Alt key before the menus will appear), select Folder Options, and under the "View" tab make sure the option to "Hide extensions for known file types" is not selected. It is enabled by default and can make it harder to work out exactly how the files in a directory are named.

 

After that's done, the folder you've downloaded the setup files to should have four files in it:

 

setup.exe

setup-1.bin

setup-2.bin

setup-3.bin

 

If your files are named differently, e.g. setup (1).exe, then it won't work properly. That happens if you try to download a file that you've already got; it will automatically rename it.

 

Edit: you said you have "a" bin file in the same directory. Have you downloaded the beta-3 patch, or the full version? I'm assuming you haven't installed the beta before, or else you'd know how to install it. So make sure you're downloading from this page, not the patch page. Another thing some people have had trouble with in the past is realising that there are four files, and each file has multiple places to download it from. If you look at the page carefully, you'll see it lists the name (e.g. "setup.exe") and then it lists four servers (FTP 1, FTP 3, HTTP 1, HTTP 3). You only need to download each file once from one of those servers. You don't need to download it from each one; some servers might be faster than others, and not all may be available at any given time. That's why there's multiple servers listed.

 

Screenshots can be helpful for showing us what you're actually seeing, and might be the best way to convey information. To do that, press the PrtScrn button on your keyboard (which copies the screenshot to the clipboard), then open up the Paint application (under programs / Accessories), and paste the clipboard into the image using the menu or Ctrl+V.

 

Once that's done, save it as a .png file somewhere convenient, and then you can attach it to a post here by using the "Go Advanced" button to get the full posting screen, and then the "Manage Attachments" button under the area where you enter your post.

 

If we can see what you're seeing we can probably work out where you've gone wrong and help you fix it.

 

Alternatively, you could get a bittorrent client and download the full, fixed beta 3 installer using that. That will definitely put all the files in the same directory, so if you have the bandwidth to download again, this is probably the easiest option.

Remember that you have made a back-order for the original sim and you are supposed to wait for its release. You have received a BETA TESTER access and BETA version as a bonus. This is uncompleted version of the flight sim that is not ready to receive fully backed customer support. You are here to test it and through-fully report bugs, or otherwise wait for the full release with your pre-order. BETA puts responsibility in your hands and if you can't cope with that you shouldn't complain, but just wait for full release.

PS. It would be much easier to understand you if you bothered to write in sentences.

Firstly, it's no suprise you received no help if the rest of your posts were written like this one. It took me 5 minutes to read due to the total lack of any punctuation or basic sentences. If you want people to help you out with an issue, the least you can do is write a post that people can easily read. That way you will find more people willing to spend their time offering you assistance.

 

Now, with that said, I'll try and help you out.

 

You ask what .bin file you need to go with the .exe, simple ALL of them. You must download the .exe and all off the .bin files and put them in the same folder (the folder can be anywhere on your hard drive you wish). You also must not rename any of the files.

 

 

Now, as to the other statement in your post regarding not being able to play a game you have paid for. This is not correct. You have pre-purchased the finnished and as yet unreleased version of DCS:A-10C Warthog. As a little perk for pre-purchasing the game, you (and everyone else who pre-purchases) are given free access to the open beta of DCS:A-10C Warthog.

 

The open beta IS NOT the finnished product and it WILL have many bugs and broken features, there may be situations where it will not be playable at all. At this point no formal suppport will be given by the developers, so if you have a problem you will need to either fix it yourself or turn to the members of this forum (most of whom will be in the same position as yourself) for help. Please do not be suprised if people cannot assist you with your issue.

 

If you don't have the knowledge, time or simply cannot be bothered to deal with the above then you should wait for the final version of the game to be released. You will receive the support you are asking for if you have any issues with the final game, but not with the public beta.

Wart doiwnload all 4 setup files and then run setup. if u still have problems then report in the beta forums. not here. that is why they have been moved. look for your answeres in your user CP or in the beta forums.

1 - Confirm that you have downloaded the 4 files (4.43GB) as contained on the following page:

2 - Confirm that you have uninstalled and deleted all previous versions/folders/files pertaining to DCS:A10-C Warthog.

 

3 - Confirm that you have cleared your registry of all relevant DCS:A10-C Warthog entries

 

In other words - your PC is clear of all things Warthog, except for the 4 downloaded files as above.

 

4 - Reboot

 

5 - Confirm that you have access to the Open-Beta forum.

 

 

I repeat - Download ONLY the files as contained in the link above. Cannot stress that enough! If you have any other files, delete them and ensure that you have only the files as above.

I had the same issue. I use Internet download manager and had other setup files in the download folder so it automaticly changed the name to setup with a number on the end. I put them in an empty folder and renamed setup3.exe to setup.exe and then could install sucessfully.
